US$4 Credit for Referrer, US$3 Credit for Referee for Travel eSim @ RedteaGO

121

Hi,

Overseas at the moment but thought I’d share a good way to get cheap and sometimes free esims for short trips with basic data needs.

  1. Always check https://esimdb.com/ for the best plan for you in that country
  2. In Turkey and now South Korea, I’ve found Redteago either cheapest or best value: https://redteago.com/
  3. Use a referral code to get US$3 credit from the “Referral Links” below
  4. Use a FX-friendly credit card like 28 degrees, etc to pay any balance
  5. Before activating (which takes only seconds) turn off mobile data for all unnecessary apps.
  6. Activate your new esim in seconds

Examples:
Turkey - 1GB for 30 days for US $2.90 (free with $3 initial credit for using a referral code)

South Korea - 1GB for 30 days for US $4.99 (I had $4 credit due to referring my wife and bought $1 credit using Apple Pay)

Obviously this is low data but I only use for Safari/Chrome, WhatsApp/Messenger messages, Maps, Tripadvisor, etc and it’s enough for 5 days for me.

Thought it might help those that go for short trips with basic needs.

Note: Thanks Neil for updating. It’s US $4 credit for the referrer and $3 for the referee.

    Perfect timing, thanks for this.

  • I need a sim for turkey which will last me 2 weeks.
Can I just cycle these again and again? Or is there a better solution out there?

    • I think you’ll need different devices. I tried canceling and signing up again with different details but they said I couldn’t use a referral code

  • is there one for europe?

  • Cheaper to get a FREE 3GB FlexiroamX if you have 28degree card?

    • I haven’t used that yet so hopefully good reception. Is it an esim or wifi?

These can be used as alternatives but both once-offs.

  • Looks good, but only for esims.

What's a good cheap phone with esim?

I bought a second hand iPhone SE 2020 for that reasons.

Bad deal. Have to top up by buying their "credits".

If your plan costs more than $3USD, you can't use referral and co-pay with cc or PayPal.

Yes you can? Just buy the credit before and it will take your promo credit off first. No need for a neg

Buy credit one dollar at a time?
No one wants to buy $50 worth of credit to buy a $10 SIM

        • -1

Wrong again. You might be too slow to work out how to recharge $10 or lazy to recharge a few $1 but it’s still not worthy of a neg. Just jog on to what you think is a good deal for a foreign esim

            @sash213: The fk?
Why don't you explain how to do it without buying their credits then?
No one wants credit tied up just to buy an effing Sim
