    • the specs look fine for a $99 tablet.
how would this compare to the optus 7" that people went gaga for?

and now that we know it is a single core processor could it be a much better deal than the aldi tablet debacle?
(assuming the select coles mobile stores have stock that is)

        This one has no 3G…

And people went gaga for the Optus MyTab 12 months ago (Optus MyTab deals on OzBargain). That's ancient consider how fast Android tablets have evolved over the last year.

  • on the product page it doesn't look like there is 3G.

    Edit - beaten..

    • +2

Definitely no internal 3g, guaranteed. It is the same as sold by Dodo, which they throw in a 3g stick.

  • It says $149.00 on the page, how does one buy it for $99

      introductory offer Coles gungahlin $99

  • 1GHZ A-8 Processor, Seems alright but could lag a bit.

    • -3

No, ICS has no lag. Absolutely none. Ever.

    • This is what happens when people believe more cores = better.

  • +7

    this pad is pure crap

same as the one with dodo

the ainol elf/aurora still are the ones to beat

ok here is the $99 store link for those who wish to see proof
    http://upload.ozbargain.com/2012/07/23/8992_dsc00923.jpg

you will have to take my word that the catalogue is for the newly redone store gungahlin (act) for those of us who put up with them having no stock at times while the refurb took place.

if you have no access to this store, there are only a few coles mobile enabled stores so check the coles link above for that detail

    • I'm more interested on the 2 items below

      • lol, each to their own I guess.

there is also a 20 litre microwave oven, galaxy brand 800w $29 introductory price, $55 afterwards in the catalogue

you might like that too? :p

Allwinnder A10 is playing on the name as in reality it is only and A8 cpu with fancy name. Wondering if they do the same with the Allwinner A8 is it really a slower processor with fancy name?

Little bit slow to be useful. Tried one out and sent it back for that reason. Choppy when flicking between screens. Hang out save up your money and get a dual core processor if you can. Although if your only going to use it as an ebook reader and play smaller movies it would probably be fine.

I always trust brands like 'allwinner'. lolsh
