If I was paying $600 for a gpu I'd want a lot better than last gens xx60ti. I would've rather paid $800 2 years ago. There's never been a bigger time to hodl. It should be $350 like my 6600xt
But Nvidia and gross pricing go well so this is the best we can get atm sadly
it's not just nvidia. aussie local retailers pricing is so messed up as well
Pretty hard to find any 6600XT in stock for $350 nowadays.
The 3060 Ti is more like a lesser 3070, It easily beats the 6600 XT in traditional rasterisation. Then there's the extra features like DLSS, Raytracing, NVENC and a full PCIe x16 bus so I don't think it's fair to compare the two.
However, it should be $500 tops at this stage. Prices are still way to inflated
Also as edfoo has pointed out, you can't actually find 6600 XT at $350. That was just a one time good dealBut 6600xt was $350 7 months ago. It's only 10% faster at most. 3060ti launch price was $399usd and now it's 2 years old.
Used triple-fan 3070s for about 550$ are a better choice in my opinion.
U can find second hand in FB, gumtree or eBay for just 300ish why paying double for a shitty model?

Price of 3 series will probably drop like a stone, and they might think of just making the 4 series for 3 years.
$180 more then the 3060 and into the 3070 territory. I'd say just wait!

I have owned this model and would not recommend. It hits 80 degrees under load with the fans at max RPM and noisy AF. Any lower fan speed and it'll overheat. Stock fan curve is also stupid, zero at idle but once temperature hits the threshold the fans spin up to almost max RPM.
