can't tell if it's a special or is their regular price

    looks like a good pickup,
dnon't know about the quality of Hitachi drives though

This is the special price that I receive from their newsletter just now. Their usual price is $120~$130 shipped. From my observations, if a 1 TB 2.5" external hhd reaches $100, it will be a good buy regardless the brands. I rarely see any genuine offer that sells way below $100 mark.

Interesting to note that Western Digital acquired Hitachi in March; not sure if that would have affected the product line yet.

bought a 500GB version and it cost me around $90. So this is a very good deal.

I bought 4x1MB EDO RAM for $250 in 1990. But like your post, why is that relevant to anything?

DSE is also selling the Seagate portable 1.5TB USB 3.0 drives for $149 (+ shipping but can collect), so that's $0.09/GB (very slightly cheaper).

Make sure you mention you need to select bank transfer, because the other options (credit card, paypal) will incur a 2% extra charge

I think you just did. Needed? Not really.

megabuy = dodgy grey importer? Don't they have 3 trading names and all are grey?

    •

One of their names is Negabuy.

        Hi guys,

We dont sell grey hard drives, these are from an Australian distributor.

everything we sell is sourced from Australian distributors.

Desktop Hard Drive = power adapter required. Meaning: no comparison. Again, people get confused with it all the time.
