Terms say you need to buy it from any bar, club, or restaurant in Australia. Wondering if it will work if you buy from BWS because I don't think there are any of those venues near where I live?

Sounds like a massive fk around for a single free drink…download the app AND provide payment details. Also, "up to $12" for a single 330ml bottle of 4.2% premix…tell 'em they're dreeeeeaming.

I agree with you, and I hate having to take on all the risk when trying to execute these promotions, but it's much harder for them to train bar staff to accept promos and to reimburse the venues than it is to issue individual gift cards.

I think BWS does it well with the "try for $1" range. For a buck, I'll take a punt, and I'd much rather that than this bullshit walk a mile to gain a metre process proposed for this deal. You can bet the app will require an address, phone number and possibly proof of age (so, your government ID). What an absolute piss take, who is bothering to do all that?

        • Maybe not worth it for a one off but they have done similar deals in the past so over time it will add up in your benefit

          • @JHoliday: You still have to spend the money though…as a form of enforced saving - paying $12 for a stubby of weak premix - I guess it works in the long run, but it doesn't appeal to me to hand over all those details on the odd chance they run another promo.

@Ham Dragon: I think it was $7.50 when I checked at BWS, but I do see your point.

              • @JHoliday: Haha I'd like to know where you drink. Do you find packaged beers really expensive in bars / pubs? Draught & free pour seem much better value.
