Most everyone has a USB Flash-Drive nowadays. Not the most versatile of form factor in the land, but this ad will appease those looking for a lowest common denominator-cheap drive. But let's see more of size 32gb micro card sd pricing deals on the cards.

Disappointingly, with no USB3.0-spec given, or minimum write MB/sec sequential & random-speeds- provided, drive might be assumed clearance junk the sort you might buy from M wave or some other skiver.

    • Storage is tiny, speed 'a slug +therefore it is junk. Yah.

    RRP $25.99… rofl.

Easily fits into your USB ports

    uh..

    • +1

What? Don't you try putting other things in the USB ports? They always get stuck for me……

    • +1

I agree S-L-O-W. I have the 8GB std cruzer (from OW) and it usually writes around 4MB/s. Painfully slow. I doubt this smaller form one is any faster. Ordered a USB 3.0 one that was listed here recently. It's much faster.

Still if you can live with slowness the price is good for known brand.

I think this deal is better value as it has more potential uses as it also comes with an adapter

Sandisk 8GB 8G 8gb micro sd card MicroSDHC, SD Adapter AU $4.69 (free delivery)

But….it's not going to fit in your USB port….so how is this comparable?

      • use the sd adapter

        • +1

The SD adapter aint gonna fit too well in your USB port

        • whoops was thinking of my laptop with a sd drive..sorry

  • I for one, will be getting one of these. I actually jumped on OzBargain this morning looking for this exact kind of deal.

Work PC's are having a new MOE installed with Win7 and will be locked down (I'm normally an admin) so I'll just keep it in my PC and run a few portable apps. :D

  • Does it work on Mac?

    • According to the review greenpossum posted a link to, the reviewer was using it on a MacBook Air…

    • Generally USB memory sticks will work with any OS, but for some OSes you may have to reformat to a supported filesystem. Since Macs can handle FAT filesystems, you don't need to do anything.

  • I have the 16GB model of this permanently in my Xbox360 to give me some storage space (my Xbox has no hard drive and I don't really need one). It's perfect for this as it doesn't even stick out past the plastic casing of the XBox. As others have said, it's as slow as most other SanDisk drives if you want to use it as a general PC storage device though.

  • Hmmm was just reading iiBuy's "Special Instructions or Comments About Your Order". Apparently someone NEEDS to be home (or there to pick it up from the address) their courier has been instructed to NOT leave packages at the door (or wherever I guess)

So that sucks…as I work…and delivering it to work isn't really an option.

    • Wait….they'd just stick it in a parcel envelope and mail it wouldn't they.

      • Yeah for a $5 item they are not going to engage a courier. It's so small it might even come in a 60c envelope.

Website is currently getting smashed. Can't even connect to it. Think we killed it.

    • I didn't know Mwave had a cousin? ;)

      • Yes. It's totally slagged.
You would think that companies offering times deals would consider their ability to support the traffic associated with these type of deals.

      • I am almost sure it's intentional.

        • I'm pretty sure it's not intentional. Their site is/was virtually inaccessible. Can't imagine them thinking that was a good idea. Probably just had too many people trying to connect at once.

        • I wonder if they borrow someone's server for 'Red Alert Hour'. Although, I would hope the people Ozbargain are enough educated not to fall for this crud.

    • Seems it came up again but went down again before I could get to the check out…. :*(

  • :( I want my USB

  • Well my Paypal just went through.

They added an extra 10% GST then some other surcharge (7c) which is bull@#$@# but…it was still only $5.07 so I was like screw it, it's like 12cents difference.

    • Is it me or are they meant to advertise GST inclusive prices?

      EDIT: fixed typing error

    • Hopefully it'll deliver ok. 'fingers crossed'

    • +1

I've scoured their site. Can't find ANYTHING about this surcharge. I don't care about the money…it's the principal they they're charging an extra 1.5% without actually saying what it's for, or give warning to it when choosing payment option (if it has to do with that)

  • Mine finally went through. I didn't notice the Paypal option though, so I paid via Bank Transfer - $4.95.

    • I saw that Bank Transfer but wasn't sure about it. Do they direct debit or something or do you simply have to transfer to them and then go through the hassle of waiting and letting them know you've done it?

  • Mine was $5.02, so it is 7c more.

    • Sorry my bad I also got it for $5.02 not $5.07

  • Mine finally went through as well… only took 49 minutes of trying! :-)

    • only took 49 minutes of trying! :-)

      Just to save $4??? :-)
Not a "Bargain" in my book! :-)

      • + postage.

      • Ookay, it wasn't exactly 49 minutes of dedicated trying… just 49 minutes from the time I first tried to the time I was successful (fourth time lucky) :-)

  • Took forever to check out. When it got to the last step - GUESS what??? the clock ticked over 2:00PM - Price jumped to $8.99 + Surcharge Fee (undisclosed)!

It deserve a "-VE" from me!

    • Precisely what happened to me

      Not worth the effort !

  • Not happy about the undisclosed 1.5% surcharge.

On the order status page the total is $9.12, but when click on the Order number and switch to "Status History & Comments" it has $5.02 payment which is the same as in PayPal.

$9.12 pricing was also in the order confirmation email.

I'm guessing their book keeper is going to to have fun balancing the books this week.

  • Hmm, I've received the order confirmation email, but the order seems to have disappeared from my Order History on the iiBuy website. Has this happened to anyone else?

    • The order is still in my history.

I received an "Order Dispatch" email just after 5pm yesterday.
