490

Daniel's Donut has new MyJam rewards that'd give 1 free donut for joining (need to verify email) and 1 free donut on the birthday. Additionally, you can get 10 points per $1 for any purchase (that can be exchanged for more donuts): https://www.danielsdonuts.com.au/pages/get-myjam

There's also a refer a friend program to get another free donut after the referee made their first order, though I couldn't find any referral system yet (so I'm asking mod if they can add one)

      State in Title!

      Hunger

      • Sounds like a craving, not hunger.
        Sure you're not Diabetic?
Better to eat real food, not sweet snacks, if you're hungry🍴

        State now added to Title👍

  • They make some nice Vegan donuts.

    • Thought you only specialized in meat donuts??

Greedy mob. Raised the prices by 40 percent within a few months

    • My local store had a flyer for 6 for $15, not sure if it's store specific though but in mentioned you need to present the flyer

      • +1

We had the same price at my store. Then one day $18 for the 6pack and three months later $21 for the same.

I get it that ingredients and electricity are more expensive now but most businesses managed not to raise the price by 40 percent in a few months

        • Ikr, but I think $18 been there for a while. I sometimes ordered them via menulog pickup just to get it cheaper these days (some menulog coupon can bring it to around the old price of $15-$18). We just can't pick manually, but can specify in the notes on what we want

They sure are, I remember when they were $1.50 for a long time and there was a que out the door all day long.
Now there's no que and hardly any customers and they throw out all the leftover donuts, it they dropped their prices, they wouldn't need to throw all those donuts out.

  • Mine hasn't had the vegan ones in stock for weeks now…hopefully they will by my birthday! Will sign up regardless, heh. Thanks, OP/

Everyone on OB has a birthday in the 2nd half of February

    • Some retailers will ask to see your license to confirm your birthday.

  • Edit- Further down in the faq it says you can earn points from petrol station stores but have to fill out a form.

MyJam Rewards is currently being rolled out to all locations but at the moment, points can be earned but not redeemed at our petrol station and Flinders St locations.

Any coupons, freebies or special offers can also only be redeemed at all other stores, excluding petrol station and Flinders St locations.

To claim points from transactions at our petrol station or Flinders St locations, grab your receipt and FILL IN THIS FORM

So potentially, joining freebie, birthday freebie and referral freebie.
    (then dentist freebie)

  • Unfortunately their quality has really gone downhill since their first store some many years ago. Now most stores I visit they're stale and dry (at various times and days) so I'm lucky to purchase twice a year.

  • Went to a store yesterday and they wouldn't honour their own app.

Uninstalled and going to give these guys a miss from now on in general.
It's not just that though - as others have mentioned they went from being freshly made to being shipped in. All the best flavours out of stock etc. etc.

    • Yeah got a freebie but it was stale and they actually asked over their shoulder "did we receive passionfruit today?" so obviously all coming from some central bakery/warehouse.
They have literally killed their own point of difference: freshly baked in store

Finding it impossible to sign up on the app. Validation error over and over.

  • I was at Melbourne Airport a couple of days ago and signed up on the spot/within 2 minutes, and the shop there honoured the deal with a smile and a fresh donut that my son chose. Caramel cream. It was nice. So, based solely on this experience I can recommend the joint at Melbourne Airport. I think it was the first time I have ever scored free food at the airport. The Hungry Jacks gone by the way, but on the upside, the app has now forced the Maccas to fall into line and accept any and every 'deal' being offered by Maccas outlets generally (the Airport ones used to staunchly refuse any and all vouchers/advertised deals/etc.).

  • I always thought you had to validate through a mobile number?

  • Quality has gone down ever since they expanded from the Speingvale store. Prices have gone way up as well, not what they used to be. Used to be $15 for a pack of 6, now its $23.

  • I abused the hell out of this. Made new accounts and changed to beef pies. Got around 300 for free

  • G'day folks, made an account to comment this…

I strongly suspect Daniel's Donuts is selling its customers' information to scammers. I visited Melbourne at the beginning of last year, visited their location in Springvale where I entered my phone number at the kiosk as part of the ordering process. Within a day I was receiving scam texts about unpaid tolls. As I'm from SA, a place with no toll roads, it wouldn't make sense for me to be targeted with that kind of scam. I didn't enter my phone number anywhere else while I was in Melbourne.

Sorry to be a bummer. I didn't mind the donut, but I do mind the ongoing spam texts.

  • Thanks! Redeemed at Southern Cross
