Feel like it should be illegal to call it gaming if it's nit Mechanical

    • +46

      Got RGB lights. Gaming.

      • Lmao too right! Can't stand unicorn poopy!
Decent and cheap for a emergancy backup if needed.

        • You mean you don't have a cupboard full of old (and not so old) mechanical keyboards as "backup"?

          • @Gina Rinehart: Nope. Have old rigs sitting here doing nothing but i upgrade peripherals like keyboard, mouse, speakers and such only when they die. Once dead, thrown out and replaced.
I PLAY TO THE DEATH! 🐶🐶

            • @teddiebear: I guess I just find any excuse to buy or build a new keyboard :P I don't want to admit how much I spent on my newest addition

              • @Gina Rinehart: Lmao i've been tempted…. believe me! But the new stuff is just a rebadge of the old stuff. Nothing new as in a better feature of tech except it has RGB 😮😮
So i couldn't justify spending unless it has a upgraded feature i'd like to use (RGB excluded lmao).
Although last year i did splurge because i turned 40 and built a new rig. ASUS ROG Strix Scope NX TKL Moonlight, ROG NX brown and a roccat kone pro were the only upgrade for peripherals. Got rid of razer.

                • @teddiebear: Yeah I got rid of razer about 10-15 years ago. Once I got a taste for some ridonkulous lubricated linear switches in a board that weighs 1.5kg (and is only 65% layout) with the finest quality german keycaps, there was no looking back 😂

                  gimme dat thock

      • -7

Yeah rgb is rubbish, xoom into anything and you will see rgb, rgb isn't gaming, it kire for people who like colours

        • +4

          rgb isn't gaming,

          Oh i beg to differ

        • +1

if you dont have rgb you're not gaming micky

          • @191919: yeah but RGB does not equal gaming lol. RGB is used for a lot of things apart from gaming so to call it gaming just because of RGB is just selling to kids who don't know better

            • +1

              @michael9865: Wooosh.

            • @michael9865: You cannot game without RGB.

            • @michael9865: sorry mate i was just being stupid

              have a good day

              • +1

@191919: Nah mate, no need for sorry and you weren't being stupid.
My comment was in general more for the retilers as they use lights to sell to kids.
Sorry if i said something hurtful to you.
Hope you have a great weekend

      • Definitely. I bought Twinkly lights and turned my christmas tree into a gaming tree.

        • I put rgb lights on my dunny. Now i got a gaming throne.

    • +3

Doesn't gaming just mean pretty lights?

      • +7

        How dare you🤫

        • +3

And Greta Thunberg has entered the chat.

      • +11

so if I install RGB leds on my calculator I can call it a gaming calculator?

        • +3

It has to be able to run minecraft

          • +3

@teddiebear: Now I feel old, we only wanted doom running on our calculators

            • +1

@ymottomttdl: I remember playing wolfenstein on DOS on a 286 lol bring back the biff!

              • @teddiebear: and I can remember using WordStar on a cpm card attached to a 286

                • @ShannonN: Remember 5.25" floppy frisbees… i mean disks? Save a whole 2MB on them lmao

                  • +1

@teddiebear: yep and you cut a notch so you could double them, also was an early adopter of DESQview/X, QEMM by quarterdeck gave you more than 640k to use and semi graphical but true multitasking not windoze time slicing if memory is still correct

                    • +1

                      @ShannonN:

you cut a notch so you could double them,

                      #hackerman

                    • @ShannonN: Lol didn't know about the cut notch. Clever technique

        • +1

according to most comments here that would be a yes

    • +1

Gaming Keyboards exist before Mechanical Keyboards.
      For example, Logitech G19

      • -4

Yeah but so did trans people and now they are making rules for them.
This is more important then some gender shit and so more people should be at arms to change it😂

" The full-size keyboard has an adjustable tilt leg"

    WHAT FULL SIZE KEYBOARD?!

  • +7

"Full sized keyboard", must be full sized for Dobby the house elf

  • +6

    Ewaste keyboard

  • Bought a cheapo Keji mouse from officeworks earlier in the year. Cheap & nasty, had that red laser I hadn't seen in 15 years. Mouse would pediodically freeze, just clunky.

  • Reckon these would be good to buy to donate to some schools?

    • +1

based on other comments/feedback I'd say no, not even considering the fact schools will only use basic approved kit for a plethora of good reasons.

    • +1

Honestly they should be donated back to keji(I assume is an officeworks owned brand) so they can deal with thoughtful disposal. I feel like you’d get better entertainment burning the $5 note instead of buying this keyboard shaped garbage.

These won’t last a day in the hands of a school kid. Lenovo and Dell OEM kb&m kits are the only peripherals that are both cheap and strong enough to last.

    • No, the HP keyboards they likely use will feel tons better than this.

Plus they're actually full sized lol not a 60%

  • +1

$5, Cheaper than Kmart, bought one.

Will give feedback when it comes.

    • +1

      Feedback, for $5 can't complain.

5 Stars for the keyboard, nothing wrong, works perfectly.

However, mouse is very small, similar size to the Logitech M510, but much flatter. Which resulted in one third of my palm and Ring finger, whole of little finger hanging in air, very uncomfortable.

Check the stocks before you go… Not so planty in WA (Midland, Osborne Park, Subiaco, Fremantle)

Really good quality - Tech YES City Timestamp 12:17 Video

    • Surprised Brian hasn't purchased all the stock in Aus already at this price

  • +6

  • Wow, Keji believe it?

  • what switches and stabs does this have?

    • +6

      Insane in the membrane

      • +1

ewww, i was hoping it was gat black or Hirose orange

  • This or Wooting 60HE?

  • +1

    Thanks got 2.

  • RGB for this price?!

    • +1

Yes! RGB makes everything more capable of handling games better! Plus we all like to look sideways at our rigs during the most intense periods to reassure ourselves that because you're playing so good, it must be the power of the RGB

      • +3

Bought one, I'm sure it will boost my gaming performance!

        • +2

          Lmao so precious!

  • It would be great to have an ozb competition where people need to try and build a full gaming rig and have them rated against different criteria, like cost, aesthetics, ozb factor, performance. Is scotty listening?..

    • +1

I think Scotty got beamed up using a RGB teleporter!

  • +2

I just picked one up from my local OW, and gave it to my daughter to test on Roblox.

She doesn't like it as she said there's a move where you hold down 2 x keys to spin in circles, and this keyboard will not respond to this particular function. She gives it a thumbs down, and is no longer using it. She's using the mouse though without any issues.

  • I might just buy one purely for macros. I really dont have anything to put macros on but…

  • Did anyone who have this mouse faced issue changing their mouse DPI to 4800 (Cyan) or 8000 (Yellow)?
The mouse I have cycles between 800 - 3400 DPI.

  • That price isn't a deal, it's a warning.
