Was advertised for 15/2 unless I'm missing something? That kind of implies it is no longer of sale?

    • +2

That was only 5 days ago, many stores will still have it. Most around me do.

      Can check store stock here:

      https://stockcheck.aldi.com.au/product/708551/

    • It's in current catalog.
Checked - all 20 stores in search around me in Brisbane (also your Profile location) have plenty of stock.

There are two different ones. One in the thumbnail is motion activated, magnetic and can be mounted with a holder that is screwed in or stuck on. The other one is proximity off or hand waved on/off. Stick on mount only and not magnetic.

How would one recharge the one that is stuck on the mount and magnetic (not removable, I assume)?

      • +1

You stick the magnet using adhesive stickers then the light can come off easily off the magnetic mount when you need to charge it.

I have the Amazon version of these

I think what @Mnke meant was that the other one (the slimmer one with the black sensor) is not the magnetic one. I think it just sticks on the mount. Maybe I am misinterpreting it.

Strange, I got this at half price clearance in Aldi last week. Quite a few with the clearance sticker for this item.

    • Surprising. This is in this week's catalogue and already on clearance?

Cheers mate, I went and got a couple.
The detachable stick model has a cold white led that fades on/off.

  • Thanks OP got one

Where is it cheaper on Ebay?

  • So err, I’m struggling to figure out which would be better for under kitchen cabinets? The magnet and design of that one sounds/looks better, but the motion sensor might be overkill, and the other one is 20% brighter.

    • Had a look in store today and the one with motion sensor was marked as 60lumens the other one was 50.

    • You're best off getting a sparky in to do you something proper

These things are terrible.. They had these last year and bought a few.. The one pictured so dim it's next to useless and returned mine. There's also a fat chunkier one but the light activation is completely broken.

    • Same. Had to read the directions because it wasn't intuitive. Has some stupid 'wave to turn on/off' function. Wish I'd returned it in time as it was garbage

  • Link to eBay lol

I bought these last time. The batteries only last about 2-3 days. They were crap.

  • I recently picked myself up the one with the sliding on/off switch that I placed between my two glass cabinets that I got from Fantastic Furniture.

It's okay but it's hard to get it to stay on, perhaps the other one with the magnet would be more suited for my needs?

  • Nice to have but the battery life is really not that great.

Kmart have a AAA battery version with motion detector. It lasts around 9 months now and still going but noticeably more dim.

  • Battery is poor.
