Any hdmi 2.1 screens on sale? TIA

  • Not in stock? No option to purchase, just to drop an email for stock alert.

Woud the average person be even remoteley able to spot the difference between hdmi 2.0 and 2.1 ? Honesty question because I could do with an upgrade from 27 inch Acer Raptor

    • +4

      G-sync over hdmi needs 2.1

    • Depends on the specific parts of the spec you're after.

  • I don't have an account, anyone know the specs of the monitor?

Does it have USB C charging?

How does this compare to the Dell G3223D that was circa $400ish a few weeks ago?

        What are you even saying?

I'm asking about feedback re: specs between these two 32" QHD high refresh rate IPS screens.

    • +1

ultimately you'll have to read a few reviews for each for a good comparison, but aside from both being 32" QHD 165hz, the G3223D goes brighter and has more/better ports (eg 1extra hdmi, usbc etc). i'm really happy with my G3223D and love the 32inch size and pixel density at 1440p, coming more recently from a 24" 1080p. the brightness is epic and great for daytime play, it kills glare. if same price i'd probably go for the G3223D based on the specs. if much cheaper then this, or m32q if found for good price and kvm is a plus for you

  • G7 for $600 or nothing

    • +7

      Nothing for you then

        :(

    • Assuming you meant the QHD 240Hz model, they've been reassigned to G6 now.

Do not get 32" you will regret it, will look massively unsightly on your desk compared to a 34" due to the aspect ratio.

    • +1

What? 32" has more vertical height than a 34" ultrawide, and a similar width. Some prefer 32" and it looks much better with traditional 16:9 content. Sure, some people might prefer the ultrawide form factor but I wouldn't call 32" unsightly.

      • -1

Yes that's exactly why it is unsightly, the vertical height.

I had a 34 inch and 32 next to each other, the 32 inch looked like a tv lmao

        • +1

Sounds like personal preference, the extra vertical space seems appealing to me. The horizontal space on the other hand seems a bit pointless for my uses compared to just having a secondary monitor - while playing a game there's not really enough space for any other useful windows. But that's just me, demoing UWs didn't really sell the immersion thing to me.

    • Have a 32" G7 and it's just fine tyvm

32" and 34" are not aspect ratios my guy.

      • -1

clearly 32" and 34" use different aspect ratios, might need to read it again my guy

        • Yeah but "unsightly" is a stretch.

    • +1

Agree. 32” was just too big on a normal sized desk, swapped to a 34” and it’s perfect.

    • +1

haven't regretted getting a 16:9 32" at all, love the extra vertical space and doesn't look unsightly. i considered 34" uw vs 32" before buying but ultimately hated how 'thin' the 34" uw looked, hence decision to get 32". personal preference ultimately, but i'd advise new buyers to go to jb/harvey and have a look in person at the various screen sizes/aspect ratios before buying online

  • If you have normal eyesight…the sweet spot for 32 inch monitors is 4k. 1440p looks good on 27 inch monitors…

    • Yep. The pixel density is too low on this one for mine.

  • I have the 27inch version, it's my first monitor coming from a 65inch sony tv whilst using it for gaming.

The response rate is fast and the picture quality is nice. easy to set up and put together. I did have a white screen issue when i bought my first one.. but jb swapped it out for a new one.. this ones been fine since
