Disclaimer - sharing targeted perk codes has resulted in JB placing lifetime ban and cancel orders. User Comments

    • They created a brand new account and used perks code. They probably didn't even sign up to perks so JB is able to see they used a perks code without being a perks member.

@avbargainer are you able to confirm?

      • -1

Even if you had a perks account, the codes are unique so it would be a very basic query to see who has used codes by someone other than owner of the code.

The weird part is why don’t JB just verify ownership of the code at checkout.

Either way, I personally think it’s a dumb move to be sharing a unique code that’s linked back to your personal and payments details on a public forum like this.

        • I know for a fact that if I ask JB for my perks code for one of their targeted deal, they will not be able to get it for me because they don't have a list of emails and associated codes.

          • @CodeXD: Either they’re lying because it’s not worth the effort looking it up for you or their systems are terrible.

Either way, if there was a data breach some basic data mining would be able to link the two.

      • I think I got a life time ban because I used $10 signup perks coupon twice from 1 account.

Id just prefer the $10 perks. The perks seem to have gone downhill lately.

    • We should get those on our birth month.

      • Time to enrol the family and all their email addresses then!
