Danesh Travel Exchange for Fx Conversion Legit?

So i'm travelling in a couple months. Looking to get some fx cash conversion. Using thecurrencyshop.com.au as an aggregator, there's a few vendors that seems to provide good rates. Some are well known like Travelex but typically has a big margin.

There seems to be a bunch online only now but works via pay online and they send cash to you or C&C at Aus Post. One good one seems to be Danesh Travel Exchange for the currency I'm looking for. Anyone used their services before?

Any good recommendation? I'm in Sydney and local store fronts all seem to be given really bad rates - probably because their cost base is high. Any oz bargain tips here to get bang for my buck?

Don't most just withdraw via atm with no/low FX fee cards while overseas?

Any exchange locally I've done before was for a small enough amount that the small variation in local FX fee was insignificant compared to the convenience of auspost or the closest exhcnage place for that amount.

    • Depends on the country, for example if you're heading to Vietnam then definitely take a pile of USD.

      • That's Cambodia. Vietnam requires their own currency, the Dong. Take a large wallet as there are roughly 16,000 dong to the $AUD.

  • At first I was very hesitant but I can confirm their legit. It took 2 days for the delivery and collected at Burwood LPO NSW. They use Star Track and tracking number was provided.

    • New user, two comments plugging the same place straight after signing up… Seems legit.

  • I took a leap and used their services. They are indeed legit. It says up front when I made the transaction it'll take 4 days - and indeed it did. My money was waiting in the Aus post branch near my place.
