I couldn't wait for SF750 to drop again to $199.
Grabbed this instead. $37 cheaper (when both discounted), and 750w was overboard anyway.

Very specific model/listing.

Don't have Prime, can confirm it's still $162 with free delivery

  • Thanks grabbed one. Been waiting for a deal on one of these for a few months.

  • +1

Good price. Bought it for about $190 back in 2021. If you use it up with a 65W cpu you can even pair up with a really high end gpu.

  • Really nice SFX power supply that Corsair made.

  • +1

I use this in my SFF gaming rig.

It's so quiet when it's idling/non-gaming that I actually hooked up some RGB internally so I can actually remember when it's on.

  • Nice find, pity that i just grab the last $300 h1 deal from PLE. Was really struggling between building a nr or the h1, the psu price really made me lean towards the h1. Although there are many noise problems, i think it’s cool with 12600kf+6700xt for now. Definitely would be keeping an eye for sf600/sf750 deals, as I will probably have to replace the stock psu moving on.

  • Urgh, bought the amazon warehouse return one for $148 2 days ago.Everything was fine just open packaging.

  • +2

Nice psu. Silent at idle/low loads, and happy to power a 5600x @ 110w and 6800xt @ 300w under simultaneous synthetic loads.

    • -2

      5600x is 65w tdp

      • +2

Tell me you don't know how tdp works without telling me you don't know how tdp works

        • -1

Time to leave that cliché in 2022, where it belongs.

      • +2

They usually consume a little more than the TDP at full load.

      • +2

tdp is useless, it uses 74w. hell my CPU has a 65 tdp but actually uses >150

      • When they boost or under max load they tend to go more. Eg. I5 13600kf is 120 W tdp normally and 180w tdp under boost load. So 110 sounds like max boost

      • Hmmm, what about the extra power for PBO.

      • +1

I've increased the power limit on both. The 6800xt will actually hit actually ~350w, since stock is 300, with the +15% that you can add through amd software.

As others have noted, tdp is not particularly useful except as a rough guide.

  • As an fyi you can always get a Silverstone sx750 for around $185 which is what I have in my itx

    • problem there is its incredibly loud, compared to sf600 its nearly double

    • I got both SF750 and V850.

      Both works nice and silent.

  • +1

Will this be enough for 6800xt or 3070?

    • +1

There is a comment above who is running a 6800XT with this.

    • I depends on your other power consumptions. e.g. CPU

    • I had the SF600 running an overclocked i7-7700k and RTX3080 without any issues
I upgraded to a SF750 for peice of mind when it was on sale

  • Typically this is more than enough for most builds as it gets really hard to disspate any more heat than this in a SFF case. But if you planning on building a top notch system, do consider the 750Watts keeping the transients in mind.

Price jumped back up to $216.00

Just remember to get the mounting bracket also if your case needs one. Even some of the tiny cases come with full size PSU mounts.

"It comes equipped with individually sleeved cables and an SFX-to-ATX adapter"

Why do you need a second SFX-to-ATX adapter?

      • +1

Oh good. I bought mine several years ago, but had to get it separately. Glad they are including it now.

    • If your case can support an ATX PSU (which would be the case if you needed the adaptor), there would only be a tiny handful of reasons to buy an SFX PSU for it in the first place.

      • +3

I think a good reason is that its the cheapest "Platinum" 600W power supply on the market..

I will be changing over a 2020 RM550X Gold unit to this one using the supplied bracket.
When it's next upgraded i will be changing to an ITX Case

        • +1

Now that, is a very specific use case! If you are using it in a regular mATX or ATX case, you may need cable extensions btw, as the cables that come with these are quite short.

          • +2

@xyron: Good advice for people.. :) luckily I'm already using white extensions for both my RM550X and RM650X

      • The microATX case I had could support an ATX PSU, but you sacrificed a decent amount of internal space. Which took it way too close for comfort to the GFX card. I expect that is becoming more of an issue the bigger GFX cards get.

    • +1

Just an FYI: Also mentioned on Amazon images/listing:

      SFX-TO-ATX BRACKET INCLUDED
SF PLATINUM Series power supplies include an SFX-to-ATX power supply adapter bracket that allows installation into any ATX compatible case. The new bracket offsets the mounting location, allowing for more space inside any standard ATX chassis.

  • geez thats good
    i paid $199 for a gold 650w a few weeks ago

    ugghhh

  • wow.. got mine yesterday. Just installed. Insanely impressed with its silence. I had this PC built with silence in mind. Had a Silverstone extreme bronze 500 installed due to availability at the time. This just tops it off completely. I didn't think it turned on.
