Don't let pesky things like laws keep you from accessing that tasty 250v

      • +6

Its actually only 230V, so its totally fine!

On a serious note, dont play with mains voltages unless you have a licence.

These things are good for auto wiring and hobby electronics though.

        • +2

the average punter: how bad could it be, its three wires, and they're colour coded !

        • It should be 230V,
but AS61000.3.100 allows for variations of +10% / -6%, so it might be anything from 216V to 253V…

@kamikkels: I didn't want to get into the finer details of the aus standards haha.

Fact is most of us will still see around 240V at home anyway.

NOT a valid reason to neg a deal. Mark it as expired and move on.

Cheaper on ebay and faster delivery.

  • This is a no name ebay brand and as above only $12.95. Not a bargain

    • Yeah. You can get similar stuff from aliexpress.

  • I thought the thumb nail was strippers in some funky black and yellow tights…

  • These are great, I always pay the ~5-10% surcharge and buy from amazon for ease of returns.

The Amazon Basics ones were $15.12 last week but there's at least 3 other options for less than $17.84
