    My favourite PC controller
Great that it connects to Switch without needing to re-pair with each device

    • +4

Yeah, it's a pretty great controller. Pretty much connects to everything and has a great layout.

    • +1

Only downside is it doesn’t wake the Switch

    • Isn't a Xbox controller more comfortable

      • I prefer the Nintendo A/B/X/Y button layout instead of the Microsoft one.
There might be a way to remap them but that's just more hassle and it doesn't match the controller buttons.

I actually really like the Nintendo Wii U one. Having both the analog sticks above the buttons/d-pad is great.
I could press the buttons and use the right stick at the same time, which I can't do with Xbox, Playstation or this 8Bitdo one.
But I changed to the 8Bitdo because it's easier to setup and use

I love this controller. My go to for my Switch, PC, Google TV and Batocera set up. Tempted to get another at this prove.

    • Prove what?

      • +1

i think it was meant to say "price".

        • +2

Yes ‘price’. Thumbs were getting itchy to use the 8bitdo controller

  • +5

Have the black one, I highly recommend this controller. 8BitDo make great quality stuff.

  • Any thoughts on the sn30 also discounted?

    • +2

Look at the deal posted a few days ago for it.

any one having problem connecting to PC? my PC bluetooth find this device, but cannot connect? any tips folks?

    • +2

On the back of the controller below the battery, there's a switch for SADX. Flick it to the right to change it to X. Hopefully that works, otherwise follow the instructions in the manual to connect to PC.

  • How is this 50? Shows up as 59 for me. Is it targeted perks?

    • +1

Did you use 15% perks code?

  • Grey sold out, and they won't deliver these to Melbourne?

  • Just bought a Nvidia shield pro would this work OK with it.

    • Should work in ‘D’ mode on the back

    • +1

I've ordered one of these (pro 2) for my Shield. Currently using the SN30 pro+ which works fine and nearly identical to the pro 2. Thought I'd get a second controller for vs games.

  • i had the black one before. and realized that i have too many controllers. sold it. it is a good controller. worth to give it a go

  • I'm overseas but can't seem to finish the transaction. It tells me an error has occurred right before the last checkout step.

    • Maybe try with a VPN set to Australia

      • Doh! I didn't think of that at all! I've got some more time to kill, maybe I'll figure out how to do that while I'm cooling my heels at the airport.

        Thanks

I have one of these babies and love it. The old school SNES style dpad and face buttons are still the most satisfying on any controller I’ve tried. Combined with modern ergonomics and interfaces it’s a killer package

  • Any recommend for iPhone ?

    • +1

This should work fine with iOS? It's just a Bluetooth controller.

    • I did some research on this recently.

If you have iOS 16 or iPadOS 16 or later they added compatibility for a bunch of common gaming console controllers.

So Nintendo Switch Joy-con/controller, Xbox core, Sony DualShock 4 etc are all supported with iOS 16.

I just got a Xbox Bluetooth controller from Amazon for $65 for iPad games instead of this 8bitdo controller. I think gaming console controllers will be better made and longer lasting because they need to be on a high level for an expensive console.

Here is one more for $65 https://www.amazon.com.au/Xbox-Wireless-Controller-Pulse-Red…
Scroll down on the right side until you see "New and Used" then I recommend the "Like New" option for $65. Anything else might appear used.
