You'd be stupid to go to China with dictator Xi at the helm…

    • +1

We had Scottie at the helm at one stage.
Doesn't take 2 brain cells to be an aussie PM.

      • -1

You are trying to compare Scottie to Xi? Seriously? You mad or clueless?

  • -8

Sorry, but why should you go right now to China, considering all the COVID stuff and the difficulties with Taiwan? I am not wondering about the cheap prices at all. For Chineses it is of course a great deal.

    • +1

      Chineses

Is Chineseses a plural of Chineses?

Because people here in Oz are ignorant about what is happening there and know very little about the extent of thr CCP, the awful way they treat their own people not to mention the Uyghurs Muslim population.

Just they way they (CCP) managed Covid and let it rip around the world should be a clue about how little (profanity) they care about foreigners.

Do yourself a favour and watch some of Seperza Content. He reveals and shows the true china.

Cebu Pacific, cheap and free headaches

    • -2

Yep. They give Panadols upon boarding.

  • Assuming you'll need to give them fingerprints, DNA sample etc as soon as you land?

friend of mine is teaching english over in China, said that his school currently has an 80% absentee rate due to covid!!!

    • -1

      SlavOz negged you.

    • Sure it wasn't 87%?

    • Probably any time anyone coughs they have been programmed by the CCP to assume it's a deadly Covid strain

25hr from Melb to shanghai… no thanks.

    • Thata the least of your worries mate.. getting stuck over there is far worse.

  • +4

Manila airport is the worst.. only if you want your luggage pilfered and items stolen. Even customs people are in on the scam..

I'm surprised about the low ratings for friendliness, customer service etc.. on that Skytrax thing. Most Filipinos I've met have been extremely friendly….much more so than your average Australian.

    • Like anywhere there are friendly and unfriendly a lot of Filipinos I have met in the Philippines are friendly for a reason and if you are not a generous person they soon go away. Also some don't have consideration for others, I'm currently staying in cebu city and the past 2 mornings at 6am i have been woken by Filipino head banging bass music so loud I can't hear my TV. But no one there complains about it they just somehow put up with it.

Worst airport in the world. Having asked staff for help, they ask you to follow them to the bathrooms (to avoid cameras). After they help you with anything at all, they ask for a tip. Have also heard stories of people having things go missing from their luggage. The amount you save is not worth what you might lose or the headache it'll cause.

  • is the nearest Disney land in Shanghai?

    • Shanghai and Hong Kong both have one

      • wish they can build one in Australia….

        • the building process might take forever here…..

  • -1

Hong kong is the only chinese province you should visit

    • Whereve you been? Places like jiu Zhai gou are magical

    • Not anymore.. this used to be the case until the CCP too over.

  • Flying cramped Cebu Pacific - check
    Transit in Manila - check
Ridiculously long way to get there - check
Landing in a still covid-restricted China - check

I'm all for saving some $$$ but this is just about the worst flight deal ever.

  • Wish they would open a route from either cebu or Manila to Brisbane or gold coast.

  • Not able to get any of the prices that's stated in the description for SYD > Manila
