Samsung Galaxy S22 (Black) 256GB $811.85 Delivered @ Samsung Education Store

240

I was looking for new phone and found this on the Education Store. Seems like a pretty decent pricing for last year's flagship. Only 256GB Phantom Black colour of S22 is at fairly low price rightnow, it is actually more expansive to buy the 128GB version of it.

    In my opinion you're best off forking out a bit extra for the base s23 for the snapdragon variant. S22 has exynos and it has been talked about a lot for being laggy and having crap battery life.

      S22 has exynos

      In Australia you get Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

      My s22 ultra has snapdragon.

      • Oh really? Everyone i seen selling them and the outlets also selling them had exynos.

          Samsung is going with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in South Korea, North America, Australia, India, the UAE, and South Africa. Europe and the UK will get Exynos 2200.

          • @xoom: My mistake then, definitely double check though as there are still exynos versions sold here.

              @Shanetrain: Could be grey imports as the ones supplied here is snapdragon.

              • @xoom: Yea i assume they have gotten it cheaper imported

      S23 would be more nicer, but I have already seen pre-order pricing and I can't escape from it :(

      i wish the S22 had exynos, the SD 8 gen 1 is an unmitigated disaster.

      • I read a lot about heating issues and crap performance from the sd 8 gen 1. Definitely why i am leaning towards the s23 ultra.

    • If your phone has Exynos modem, turn off WiFi calling and VoLTE because of CVE-2023-24033 — "allow an attacker to remotely compromise a phone at the baseband level with no user interaction, and require only that the attacker know the victim's phone number."

      Affected devices
      Samsung Semiconductor's advisories provide the list of Exynos chipsets that are affected by these vulnerabilities. Based on information from public websites that map chipsets to devices, affected products likely include:

      • Mobile devices from Samsung, including those in the S22, M33, M13, M12, A71, A53, A33, A21s, A13, A12 and A04 series;
      • Mobile devices from Vivo, including those in the S16, S15, S6, X70, X60 and X30 series;
      • The Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series of devices from Google; and
      • any vehicles that use the Exynos Auto T5123 chipset.
  • This is a comparable price to Telstra's Pixel 7 for $799. Any suggestions on which to choose?

      It depends. Pixel 7 has really good camera for its price. Also it seems pretty well built. However for Samsung Fanboy like me, it is out of option due to the Samsung ecosystem.
