Probably but we've used the imported ones before with no issues.

It is imported rubbish, made in Germany. The tablets you buy in Woolworths and Coles are the much better quality made in Germany ones. In other words, there is no difference. Reject Shop is just bypassing the greedy local importer. Finish Quantum tablets in local supermarkets are made in Poland.

Another example: Head & Shoulders shampoo costs between $9 and $10 for 400ml in supermarkets. It's $6 for 500ml in Reject Shop. 400ml product is made in Thailand, 500ml product is made in France.

Just because it's cheaper doesn't mean it's inferior.

Let me say I agree with you completely re the rip off we face.

One thing I would like to point out though is soaps/detergents/shampoos etc that are officially imported by distributors here (and often made in different locations to parallel imports) are usually better suited to our water and water systems. I'm not talking about the quality of the ingredients, rather the ratio and combination of surfactants, enzymes and other active ingredients are often specially formulated for local conditions.

I say that from experience of travelling around the world and bringing back soaps/detergents/shampoos of the same brands we have here and sometimes (not always) it just won't feel right.

Having said all that, at the end of the day, it has to clean, and if it works, then buy it!

The main difference is water hardness. The parallel import Finish product I have in my kitchen is sold across the European Union with varying levels of water hardness from very soft to very hard (mainly England).

Australia has widely varying levels, from Hobart (very soft) to Adelaide (very hard), yet the same soap and shampoo products are sold across the country. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_water

Like you say, if it works, use it. Products like Finish use ingredients that are very cheap on an industrial scale. Price discrimination and what the market will bear is responsible for the rest.

The Finish Powerball tablets that i've seen at IGA are made in Germany so there's no difference is exactly the same. They worked quite well for us here.

Good price. One of the better prices for Finish of late.
    Get on it.

I also bought small package from Reject Shop 15 tab/3.00 - it is the same price, but good if you do not want 90 tabletts. Also was good price for Duo 2.5 kilos for $6.

All these "specials" have been like this for the past 2 months - they used to be $20.00

I work for The Reject Shop Distribution Warehouse and I can say that these tablets ARE THE SAME as ANY other product.

I also bought the Grocery Run Finish PowerBall Tablets and they were $19.98 for 112 tablets.
The only difference was the ones from Grocery Run are in a multi lanuage box.

    The contents are the same.

Lucky for me I get a further 15% off making these $15.30

I dont think pinoy knows what he's talking about :(

Anyone on the Gold Coast know if there is any stock left? I'll go during the week some time. Will just call ahead I guess.

Just an update: the Reject Shop's boxes say 'Made in EU' with a sticker added stating it's Sweden. A little surprising, as all previous parallel imports I've seen were made in Germany. Anyway, I have no doubt the Swedish product is up to scratch.
