NAB Rewards Signature Card Velocity Points

Hi All,

Been shopping for credit card after I churned through my first ANZ Platinum for Velocity Points.

I just saw this deal came through but unsure whether it would be a good deal so I am posting on forum first to start some discussion happening.

Currently there's an exclusive offer through finder.com.au for NAB Rewards Signature Card.

Link : https://www.nab.com.au/personal/credit-cards/offers/velocity…

It offers 160k bonus NAB Rewards points(2:1 ratio to velocity = 80k Velocity) with $3k requirement spending within 60 days, and another 40k after keeping the card for 12 months. It has $195 annual fee.

I've looked at Westpac Altitude Velocity Black is currently at 90k velocity points, min. $6k spending, AF $195.

This seems to be a much better deal, considering the lower spending. Alternatively, this is the cheaper card to go first, then followed by Westpac.

Any thoughts?

Worst comes to worst post it and let the Ozbargain democracy decide.

    • cunningham's law, just say it's better than all the other deals

  • U could get 100k pts with Virgin money

The spend requirements are bit high though, 1.5k per month for 4 months appears to be the lower one

    • But you're tied with this card with 4 months. For this month, you can hit the spending and cancel it, so shorter commitment.

  • Check out Suncorp Platinum or BOQ Platinum cards - both have a low annual fee and a huge intro bonus point offer. Points can be converted to velocity - i know Suncorp is 2:1 and I assume BOQ is probably the same.

    Riveting read

  • Make sure you've chosen your bonus on the VA website - extra 30k points or 250 status credit with the Westpac Card.
