  If you're open to importing these from overseas (and giving up the warranty), they're $38.49 USD (roughly $57 AUD) on Aliexpress.

  Note that these are very simple wearables, and with Huawei under embargo there is little to no integration with Google's services. That means there is no data transfer to Strava / Google Fit, no Google Assistant, no Google Wallet and no 3rd party app support.

  The companion app is also not on Google Play store — on first boot the watch shows you a QR code that you scan and it takes you to an APK download. You'll need to enable Allow Unknown Sources in the security settings on your Android in order to sideload it.

  On the flip side, they're extremely lightweight, the build quality isn't janky and the battery lasts roughly 2 weeks if you aren't keeping the display on all the time.

    I have all the measuring settings permanently on (heart, stress, sleep) and don't keep the screen always on and I get 10 days battery life - perfectly acceptable

  I recently paid $99 at Big W and agree with scrimshaw - it does most things that my wife's apple watch does (sleep monitoring is much better on the Huawei). The lack of integration with Google wallet and assistant might be an issue for some - but for me, I barely know I'm wearing it, it tracks my fitness and exercise metrics, tells me the time and weather and doesn't need charging every other day. For under $100, it's great.
