  • I thought JB only price match not beat

    • Just gotta give 'em a nudge.

    • +5

Technically its price match for including delivery costs. Plus also dont forget to be using the Perks $10 voucher, and also stack it with this. I already got it price beaten twice already mate 1.5 hrs or so ago

BTW this is lowest price ever for this USB disk with 512 GB.

Slight bits to know from reviews that,

      • It can get quite hot (not burning hot), and transfers speeds are not like a SSD, super fast instead around 20-50 Mbps

So just dont have too high expectation for speeds, and temperature, and you'll be fine.

  • And also, what’s the year of warranty in this?

    • JB says 5.

I've had one of these for a while, seriously good all-metal construction, good performance, and a good fidget toy on my keyring.
It's reliable, works well, I imagine it would be more useful if you have a USB-C phone. If I didn't already have one I'd be buying this.

    • Does it not stay/click to either side? Or because it became loose overtime and spins freely?

      • I don't think the guy is using it as a fidget spinner.

      • +1

I can confirm that over time, the cover thing becomes super loose. I would not be surprised if it comes off entirely

        • +1

It's just pressed aluminium. Very easy to remove with just your fingernails by prying outwards.

      • It clicks.

  • Did you price match in store? JB website says it's for delivery only

    • +1

      Via online chat.

  • +2

These things get so hot you can burn your fingers.

    • +3

You could cook your sausage on it too and save money on gas

  • 256 GB option for 39.00

    • 256GB was $23.80 earlier in the week.

      • Yea I really dont understand why 256 GB and 128 GB gets so cheap but 400 GB/ 500 GB or 1 TB options never get that kinda GB/$ ratio as those < 257 GB drives do (even with microSD cards etc).

Is it because cramming more storage in same amount of space is difficult or what ??

  • +1

    does it heat up?

ive got a samsung all metal and it heats up scary!

    https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.touchp…

  • It's showing $73.59 for me
    the 256GB is showing $35.99

    :/

  • Price change to 73 now.

    • exact reason why I wanted to not post the deal, now you can no longer price match it, nor buy it directly

Amazon au is oos thus next best price by third party seller (fulfilled by amazon) is $73.XX

    • +1

Doesn't have the Type C Option if that matters

  • +3

Have the same 64gb version and it heats up really easily and becomes very hot due to the metal, would not buy again.

    • But metal should be seen instead as a heat sink (aka distribute the heat from the heat sensitive chips etc. onto metal surface and radiate out to air.

      • +1

Not sure how it is suppose to work, they offered me to change it in case it was faulty, but I couldnt be bother as I got it for $2 using perks and pricematch catch a few months ago.

  • damn, OOS!

  • Got mine today afternoon already, will test later, but item is very tiny
