You should probably just put $37.50/kg in the title.

    $75 per kg… geez..

    • Hi Elcheapo, we're sorry to hear you don't see the value in our Single Origins. We take our coffee very seriously and strive to provide our customers with the highest quality product available.

Our Single Origin Brazil Araras Jhone Moreno coffee is not your typical commercial-grade coffee. It's a micro-lot coffee sourced from a small family farm in the Cerrado Mineiro region of Brazil. The difference between this coffee and a commercial-grade coffee is similar to that of a porterhouse steak to a wagyu steak.

These Single Origin coffees are selected and processed with the utmost care, resulting in an 87 point coffee that is usually twice the cost of commodity green beans and significant time and expertise is spent sourcing, curating and roasting these small batch Single Origins.

These are made for the true coffee die-hards, and the scarce supply and low volume means we can't sell single origins at the same prices as similar blends and commodity-grade coffees. We hope you'll give our coffee a chance and taste the difference for yourself, we've even got a 100% satisfaction money back guarantee - so we're confident you won't regret it!

Sounds like a high end product.

Unfortunately too good for me and I suspect for majority of OzBargainers, (sorry guys if I offend all other users) but I know I can't afford this kind of money to give your coffee 'a chance'.

Would like to give your coffee a 'chance' but why would I take on the risk and fork out my money to take a chance? Sell me a small pack at a fair price. Sell me a big bag at a discounted price.

This is a place for bargains aka cheaper than what they are worth. Not a place for marketing normal prices.

      • You would do well then to examine why you are posting your supposedly high-end product on a website whose very ethos is "bargains". It doesn't matter that your product may be all that you claim it is, if the price isn't right, it won't resonate with the community. Post that sort of stuff in a coffee-centric forum instead.

I find it hard to believe anyone would pay RRP for this

    • +1

Definitely no one with an Ozbargain account.

$75 RRP is over inflated. Marketing at it's finest… For example, pay $42/kg roasted here: https://www.greenbeancoffee.com.au/products/brazil-cerrado-r… …or a true OzBargainer/Coffee enthusiast might roast their own at $24/kg. https://www.greenbeancoffee.com.au/collections/all-south-ame….

In reality I'd say this is only a $7-$10 saving.

They have a $10 off first 1kg bag for email sub.. might be worth trying to stack it

    • +5

I think it is worth more ignoring this bad deal

      • If it stacks its $27.5 for 1kg but yeah

  • Rip off.

  • +2

I find it absurd roasters expect us to blindly fork out for 1kg bag without tasting it and charge inflated prices THEN supposedly giving us a discount.

Just do it right. Sell sample pack. Sell at normal price (cost plus margin) and if the product is good it will sell itself.
