Present your IKEA Restaurant receipt at the main checkouts and you will receive the total amount of the receipt as a discount off your store purchase.
Only one IKEA Restaurant meal receipt can be claimed per transaction.
The discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount offer, Rent Cheque offer or for the purchase of IKEA gift cards.

Well that shows that their marketing strategy is working, making people think they are getting some item for free, when the benefit depends on whether you wanted the meal in the first place. I prefer to think of it as a free meal for buying some item I wanted anyway.
Look like it's for Perth as well. Not for other states?

Well, what do you think, not two or more meals certainly. :P But seriously don't make the mistake of going back to the line to pick up something you forgot. You can only claim one meal receipt so you have to buy everything in one go.
But of course if there are two of you, you can have two receipts to claim with two purchases.

One meal receipt per transaction, if you have 2 meal receipt you can use it with another transaction.

But if you want to do another transaction, the cashiers are going to make you go back to the shop side, possibly going through the maze that is Ikea, at the end of the queue. That's what they mean by one per transaction.

You were lucky you got a lenient cashier. The one I had would only take one receipt. Fortunately I only had a can of drink or something like that on the second receipt.

Yes, that's fine. A friend and I feasted when I bought an office chair last time. You could even invite strangers or pickup guys/chicks, see previous threads about Ikea for humourous ideas.

They've learnt from their mistakes on the east coast. Last time they ran this people were grabbing boxes of chox and chips.

I went last night with the girlfriend and we had a romantic dinner. I bought a few things and had a good time but the cashier was hell. First the lady scanned the receipt first (crashing the system). Then she tried scanning it halfway through; realising that then that it needs to be scanned at the end, she had to call helpdesk. The final nail in the coffin was one of my wine glasses had a different (old) barcode and I was told to wait for someone to go find me another one because if I took that one it would mess up the stock counts. Like I really give a shit about stock counts, take down the number and let me leave!
tl;dr Ikea was good except for awful cashier
