Ah right, I thought student beans was a student thing, probably involving email, but this works.

  • good price

  • Thanks! worked great

I know this sounds like a lot for a mouse, but I absolutely love mine.

I was sceptical at the start and just jumped on a deal, but have zero regrets.

Like wine… you don’t know what you’re missing out on until you try the good stuff and get used to it. Then you realise you could never go back!

    • +1

Eh I switch between an MX master and a Rapoo MT750s, not a massive difference

  • +1

Currently rocking a 2S for ~3 years and absolutely loving it. Got it for $60 from OW during clearance.

great mouse but apparently there's jitter issues with macos

    • +1

Is it specific to the 3S model? I use the MX Master 3 with macOS and have zero issues.

    • You can assign macros? Please share. I tried looking for this in the software, logi options+, and couldn't find it.

        Dear Ning,

I want to extend my sincerest apologies for any confusion caused by my recent comment. I realize now that the way I wrote the comment might have led to the misunderstanding of "macOS" as "macros." I'm sorry if this caused any inconvenience or confusion for you.

In the future, I will make sure to be clearer in my comments to avoid any similar misunderstandings. I appreciate your taking the time to reply and engage in the conversation, and I hope this small mix-up won't deter you from participating in future discussions.

Once again, I apologize for any confusion my comment may have caused, and I hope we can continue to share our thoughts and ideas in a constructive manner.

        Best regards,

    • I prefer tacos 🌮

  • If you don't have at least 3 of these now, do you even OzB?

    • I had 3 (2 x MX Master, one stopped working, and 1 x MX Master 3), and bought the 4th one.

      • How did it stop working? Was it the thumb button getting stuck? I've had so many issues with mine, I've had tk pull it apart twice to adjust the screw so it stops pushing the button down permanently.

        • Nope, it started sending random keystrokes (yes, keystrokes from a mouse) in both Bluetooth and dongle mode. It was truly dead.

Nice mouse to use, but no on board memory kills it for me. Bit if an over site imo on a premium mouse.

    • What is the memory for?

      • +4

So you don't need to have the software installed locally for macros; they are saved to the mouse.

Many work computers are locked out for safety. I have a few macros saved on board for some repetitive tasks I have, get them done in a click instead of a dozen clicks and a dozen key strokes.

        • +2

          Thanks. Never knew.

        • Can I request recommendations for such mice?

          • +1

@thegreatermamba: I use a g402, was cheap, $40 price match to office works.

Nice and light, it is wired though, but has a few extra buttons. Couple mates use the hero 502, sometimes comes down to 70, wireless had been that cheap before but not often. Nice mouse.
There are plenty of mice options with a search.

    • Btw, what would your personal recommendation be for one with onboard storage? (preferably wireless for traveling)

      • Honestly that's a personal thing. Everyone had different hands and different needs and different uses. This mouse is great, nice feel, weight, and unless you need the onboard memory get it, feels nice.

Go into a store a see what feels nice though within your budget and go with that

  • +1

Wow, that was quick. There were more than 10 in stock when I posted this.

  • My MX Master 1 for $75 from Harvey Norman Online from a deal posted in 2016 on OzBargain gave way a few months back and I've been eyeing for a lower price to its replacement.
Thanks for this OP, couldn't have arrived at a better time! + tax deduction, woohoo

  • Damn! Had in my cart and went OSS.

  • How good is this mouse comparing to other models?

    • Which other model?

      • Comparing to Logitech MK850 mouse

        • +1

The mouse in that combo is M720 (Triathlon). I have both mice, and they are comparable, but MX Master 3 is more comfortable for me as it is longer. M720 feels too short even though I have medium sized hands. If you have small/medium hands you may like the M720.

  • Was able to use the code on another seller and got it for $105, last one unfortunately.

    • aboveandbeyond2020? Damn, good find!

      • Yep :)

  • For those that missed out - can try this method that I used to get it for $109 ($99 with JB Perks discount) from JB Hi-Fi.

  • Be aware this mouse is really heavy, I'm no ultra-light mouse guy but the Master 3 is heavy to the point it gets painful after a while

    • Try lifting it off the desk less?

    • I have used MX masters for years (an MX Revolution, then a 2 master 1's and now a 3), and never noticed the weight. In what use-case does it get painful? Is your desk surface super grippy and requiring more force?

  • My hand are pretty small would it still be comfortable over long period of use :/ anyone else in a similar boat

    • I got MX 3s, it is abit big for my hand. I just bought the logitech lift, hopefully it works for me.

    • You can try Logitech M720 Triathlon. Similar features but smaller.

    more in stock again

  • Missed again

  • I have one of these and I love it, but hate the price. The thing I really like is the flywheel effect for scrolling fast through documents. Is there another (cheaper) logitech mouse model with the same scroll wheel hardware?

  • Carpio 2.0 with this is a dream, I can't use else lately. Super comfortable and no more sore wrists.
replacing the skates also helped a fair bit.

  • I really want to try this mouse and see if it’s much better over the MX Anywhere. I’ve been using MX anywhere is is a smaller mouse since 2015 but I used the original, the 2 and 2S and now the 3S.

I am always too late these things seem to be OzB magnets and they are gone by the time I check the listings. I don’t want to pay much more than the going price because I am so used to the size of the MX Anywhere but everyone seems to love the MX.

I bought the MX Keyboard as that too is an OzB magnet and got that on a good deal, but I don’t have enough desk space and wireless keyboards have always driven me nuts because the battery life is so short - and yeah I’ve seen the comments about turning the back light off.

My desk is packed full, and I use a laptop, but there isn’t enough room to move the laptop far enough back to get a good feel for the MX Keyboard.

I like my MX Anywhere mice the S3 travels a bit differently from the 2S I was using for ages as my one didn’t last o long and Logitech replaced the original with a 2, which I found extremely similar to the original.

If I’m happy with my MX anywhere should I just stick with what I got as it suits me fine.

I’d love to use the MX Keyboard a bit more to get a real feel for it but with an average lifespan of 7-10 days with bavklightsvon, compared to 60-80 days on the mouse I’d end up leaving it plugged in and do what’s the point. I used it for a kfew hours and sure it kills agains my HP G5 Probook Laptop keyboard I just have no room on my current setup

It’s also been driving me nuts not having my 24” monitor since I changed my desk around. I use Dell Ultrasharps and have done since about 2007 and that new LG which has a similar name was about the same price but I need a dock and something to life the laptop up off the desk. I think the new Dell Ultrasharps are using LG Display panels hence why they looked so similar.

I have super limited funds at the moment and I’m sure it will all on at a good price again soon.

I’d love to try it and see whether if I’d really get the love from it when the MX Anywhere has proved itself to me and I dare say probably based on similar tech, horizontal scroll I know would be useful

But bills are killing ne at the moment, I’m paying them all a bit each fortnight in advance so no surprise utility bills but recent had a fight with a tradie tug using to give me my deposit back on a job that I cancelled before it started and heys breaking ACL but doing this but he doesn’t care, VCAT is next step but then it’s a matter of being able to take time off - this is only a three month contract and work has been really scarce since interest rates started going up.

Everyone here must have massive salaries or be in lots of debt - after a divorce you get screwed and you just hope nothing breaks hence the old HP Probook G5 - need something new and soon.

I dunno so many bargains are sold out, the Logitech stuff more do than most.

I’m always fighting to find regular work, especially because off my back- so many companies just pass you by if you mention back problems. I just need a 10 min break every 2 houses to do 5-20 mins of starches. WFH has made that a bit easier but I’m fighting young kids vs my 30 years and getting paid less now than what I was 15 years ago seems like BS.

Anyway not the place to go through work woes - I just wanna see if the MX3S is really going to make my life that much better.

Thanks to anyone still reading. Oh and did I mention how much I hate IT recruiters? Bane of my existence for for 20+ years.

Dear ChatGPT. Please summarise the comment above in one sentence, no more than 10 words.

ChatGPT: Commenter considers trying MX3S but has limited funds/space.

      • Lol yeah your are correct. I do go on a bit. Sorry.

        • +1

All good, I was taking the piss.

  • Then I tried to fix all my errors but too late due to a reply. Lol.

  • Anyone outside of NSW receive theirs yet? Mine's still awaiting allocation from a regional store.. even though their current listing says it's $6.00 postage. Odd.. as long as I get the tax invoice for this FY it's all good lol

    • Received it this morning (QLD).
