Safe Way to Install YouTube Vanced

Is it possible to download an old version of YouTube Vanced without using a shady site?

I have seen tutorials of Revanced and it looks quite complex and I prefer the old Vanced interface. Shame Samsung smart switch didn't copy Vanced from my old phone over.

I keep seeing youtubevanced.com in google but that isn't the official site. Anyone tried it? Any viruses?

Tried Newpipe and still prefer Vanced due to sponsored blocked and google login

        • yes its just like the original.. good

    • why the name is not MeTube…

  • Just use APKmirror (founded and managed by the same person for Android Police - very reputable site)- you just need to install APKmirror installer from playstore to install any file you downloaded from the site, then you just need to install Micro G for logging into Vanced.

    • I'll try that, thanks

    All this to save $2.57/month

    • Sponsor block alone probably worth $10/month to me already. I am not paying without that.

      • As in the sponsor ads within vids? How would it detect that?

That's correct, skip ad within vids (as in ad introduced by the creator, not Youtube generated) such as those annoying vlog camera, language learning and free VPN. I think the whole thing community based and open sourced.

I would recommend you try it with your desktop browser with add on. Then, you can find out by using vanced, it is a breath of fresh air.

          • @Ramennightmare: Ah ok. I watch across multiple devices (Shield, phone, CC), so premium just makes sense rather than the other workarounds. I just skip through the ads anyway, doesn't take much (props to the creators who use a status bar on screen while doing the ad!)

@spackbace: That's understandable. I only use Vanced for my mobile anyway, still have the traditional ad-fested smart TV which I jsut skip after 5 secs.

BTW, I am not the one who negged you.

Use this guide for Youtube Revanced since Youtube Vanced is dead. Sponsor skip is by far the best feature ever.

  • Vanced still works well, installed via Vanced manager.

  • You can download it from https://youtubevanced.com/
I was using this on my old phone for years, just migrated to new Samsung S23Ultra by downloading it again and was working all good till now.
But today it stopped working to load videos by giving error: "The following content is not available on this app. Watch on the latest version of YouTube"

It even stopped on my old mobile giving me same error.

Not sure, if youtube has stopped this overall or it's just my account.
