[Charity] Get $25 Free Kiva Credit - Microfinance Site
Moved to Forum: Original Link
BTW: The link is an affiliate link so I will get $25 to loan out too when you join. (A sponsor is paying the bonuses so in any case they will pay X millions)
How to Use Kiva
Make a loan
You make a loan on Kiva. All Kiva loans are made possible by our Field Partners, who vet, administer, and disburse each loan. More
Get updates
Throughout the life of the loan, you will see progress updates from Kiva through your email, and if you come back to the site.
Get paid back
As the borrower repays the loan, the money becomes available in your account. This is called your Kiva Credit.
Repeat
You can now use it to fund another loan, donate it to Kiva, or withdraw it to spend on something else.

Cites nothing about the $25 being sponsored.

About Free Trials
What better way to try Kiva than to try it for free? Free trial loans are available while supplies last to the first users who join Kiva through this promotion and make a free trial loan.
These free trials will be financed by friends of Kiva, allowing the new lender to make one $25 loan free of charge. These free trial loans are disbursed to borrowers in the same way other loans are disbursed on Kiva. However, since the sponsor is funding the free trial loan, any repayment funds from the free trial loan will go back to the sponsor, not to the free trial lender. New lenders invited during the promotion may choose to use their own funds to make a loan, in which case repayments will go back to the lender.
Supplies of free trials are limited to one (1) per new user, and will be made available on a "first claimed" basis.
Read our terms of use.

heyrosered on 08/08/2012 - 20:10 ¶This is a bargain, although I've had a similar post knocked back before, however if you were planning on financing someone it saves you $25 of your own money, or is $25 more that you can contribute if you wanted to make a larger loan.

If the OP runs out of referral credits, you can use this one :D

Trance N Dance on 08/08/2012 - 20:36 ¶I do think the "friend" is Reid Hoffman LinkedIn's Cofounder. According to Wikipedia he lent Kiva $1 Million in March 2012. Kiva then used that money to allow 40,000 people lend $25 each for free on a trial basis. The money still goes back Hoffman in the end.
