Hey OzBargainers,

We're going 5% off everything (except the Canon 1D X and Nikon D4) so feel free to grab as much or as little as you want, put in the discount code 5PercentOff in the shopping cart, and you'll get 5% off! Sorry this isn't a specific product deal, but you should be able to find some good bargains across the site, and they'll be even better with an extra 5% off!

Are you missing a 0 after the 5?

If that was the case, I would've cleared out the place before posting on here!

5%, sounds like senior or pensioner discount.

Your selection of micro 4/3 lenses sux…

    •

Yes unfortunately not many people buy them so we don't stock them. Sorry!

      •

It's fine, but I think they are growing in popularity, you should consider following in pretty much the footsteps of all other online retailers and stock them…

        •

Will note it and pass it onto the buyer. Thanks!

        •

the other problem is that Panasonic tries to rape their Australian customers so much, that the saving to import from HK/USA are too great to pass up.

At least Olympus lenses seem generally well enough priced that if you can manage to claim back GST you're often ahead/on par to importing.

See prices from a week ago http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/76289?page=1 which have gone up by more than 5%.
Canon 50mm has gone up from 83.95 to 98.95.
Nikon 50mm has gone up from 104.95 to 126.95.

Yes that was a special that we had going then, which we posted on OzBargain. Prices do change unfortunately.

Yes, but the ACCC hasn't changed their views on this kind of activity.

          Hello,

This price was changed yesterday afternoon, before any decision to give a 5% discount, so we do not believe there is any breach.

          Thanks for your concern however!

Tell me that wasn't you that negged me Mr Rep? lol

this is ozbargain and i doubt you will score a single vote for a single digit disount offer.

He can have a neg vote for a crummy discount. Can't find any bargain before or after discount. Token discount to avoid being labelled as spam. If there is any specific bargain to be had then post it coz I just wasted my time

    •

      Really? I don't believe it.

Calm down guys, 5% is better than no percent. They may not be the cheapest but at least local warranty exist. Everyone has a choice

I think the point is that the site is called OzBargain, and not 'OzBetterThanNothingFreeAdvertising'.

Rep should point to a single item that is a bargain compared to competitors, rather than a sitewide sale of 5% which is tantamount to cheap/free advertising.

sitewide sale of 5% which is tantamount to cheap/free advertising

Particularly just after you've jacked up some prices by 17% - 21% the night before.

      •

True… quite tantalizing bargain to be exact…

  •

Oh well, you can't win them all :)

Hey rep instead of buying 10 pcs of Hoya filters, any chance of giving the "floor" price for each of these filters?
