        unless my memory is leaking like a bad pipe, i recall someone posting about $29.95 (or was it $19.95?) CK singlets in the original post before it was pulled. But i'll give the mens shop the benefit of the doubt since I just woke up then.

          RRP for the singlet was 29.95 but it was on sale for 19.95 :)

    The email I received from them said 'share with your friends', so I did….. wheres the problem with that?

    I got my order confirmation email at 10:21, must have been taken down just after that. I wonder if the Mens Shop made any mention of existing orders when it requested the take down.

  • We have been notified by TheMensShop that it was not meant to be publicised. They've had a few deals removed previously as well, as those are exclusive offers they have negotiated with other parties.

      Bit of a shame really, they are such a good store to buy from, and they often embrace Ozbargain when they do have a sale to be promoted… their Rep is usually most friendly :)

      • Indeed. That's the information I got from their Rep, that it wasn't meant to be out. Maybe their webdev made a blunder and their sales can't get it off their website? I've notified the rep about this thread. We'll see.

          I don't believe this.

          Alot of the items have clearly been removed off this site - and the category is now empty: "No products were found for this category" (see example http://www.themensshop.com.au/The-Academy-Brand-Mix-and-Matc...). If the items sold out this morning then it would remain on the page and show as being sold out like many of the other products.

    to be honest, this shop should know better, as they post their deals here often and have a good rep.
    They seem like a very honest company so think its just that they didnt do it the best way.

    They are a good company with good service and all, but things like this just tarnish their reputation a bit. If they release a code/special offer, they should know the repercussions of that, even if that means it gets OzBargained.

    Kudos to the TMS rep, he knows not to unleash the fury of the tightarse horde by cancelling orders.

    For the record, If I was running a promo such as this, I wouldn't zero the inventories, but I'd definitely lower the book stock (in the sub 20 price bracket) before the promo period started, just to drive the sales to the higher-yield items, but that's just me.

    I'd also second the voluntary dropping of orders, if the Mens Shop is in financial risk because of this. But understandably, if this is not the case as the TMS rep has indicated, then +1 for service and being true to word. As a long term Mens Shop customer I have refused to buy shirts from anywhere else once I first received their trademark black box in the mail. Keep up the great work TMS, the best online store around!

    I just received my socks today. I also ordered the two Van Heusen shirts for $60 on Saturday, couldn't help but be impressed with the pleasant way TMS honoured the existing orders on the $20 deal.

    I too received my socks today; thanks again TMS. They were indeed nicely wrapped, albeit somewhat ridiculously.

    Bubble wrap for socks…?? I thought the wrapping for the 4 VH shirts for $100 was a bit over the top too. Unnecessary, but I can re-use the bubble-wrap anyway. Ta.
