  • Finally managed to get one of these deals.

    • Same. I was sweating

Looks like they're price matching Woolworths at $1.75 each

thanks! these are great for hikes. I ate 15 of these (as snacks) on my last 8 day hike. I like the peanut butter

    • Given their easily-digestible format, you sure left a lot of CLIF out there on the trail. No surprise, then, that you prefer peanut butter to the chocolate brownie. I kind of hate it, though, when you eat all your shopping from Woolies on the way home because you lose your way

End of last year I got 3 boxes for around $19. I finished only one box before best before date in March with my friends. Now I still have one and half box left.

  • any recommendations on protein bars/snacks that won't break the bank and taste good?

      • thanks will give this a go

It depends on how strict your definition of "taste good" is. IMO, basically all protein bars are compromised in taste and/or texture compared to their less healthy alternatives.

Clif is my favourite in terms of flavour, but they're fairly high in calories (they're more of an energy bar rather than a protein bar)

Some Musashi ones are ok, as well as the Muscle Nation Custard bars

      • thanks for that, will look at those ones

I've recently tried BC Choc mint Crunch bars and I reckon they really hit the spot when it comes to taste (assuming you like choc mint)

but they are quite small and more of a treat snack so i've started looking around to see what else there is available.

      • Not sure why you were downvoted. These bars are 260cal each. They're designed as an energy bar for those needing to refuel like if you're running, cycling or hiking.

Yummy rice syrup soaked oat bar. Probably better off with other fuel sources unless you’re alone hanging off a cliff with nothing to eat for the day.

  • Good to have stashed in bags as an occasional cheap and easy snack. I don't think they taste great but way better than forgetting to eat and getting hangry.

Ordered a box, thanks for posting.

    • Restocked. 13 available.
