TV 65"-75" Advice - Budget $2200+

Hi guys, I'm looking for a new TV. Either 65"/75" suits my needs.

Current Shortlist:

1.) Hisense OLED 65" X8HAU
2.) TCL Miniled 75" C835
3.) Hisense Miniled 75" U8HAU

I can't find much information about X8HAU.

What is your thoughts on these? Which one would you pick? Or there is any alternative option.

Budget is around $2200+

You had the Samsung s95b and LG C2 in the 65 inch range come down to the 2300-2500 mark.

If you can wait, maybe try and get one of those as they are better than the Hisense OLED.

  • My current Hisense is on the way out. I'll be getting the C835 75" replacement - Currently going for around ~$1700.

  • I would go the 76" Hisense but to be honest they are not on par with Samsungs (I have both). I picked up my 75" Samsung last year for under $2200 and it is a far superior tv than the Hisense.

  • how about the 3 options above?

    is X8HAU > C835 / U8HAU ? Just simply because OLED > Miniled?

The LG 65” CS has been as low as $2100, the Sony 65” A80K as low as $1750 - both of these units wipe the floor with all of the above. Not sure what the current best prices are, but no reason they won’t be close to these in the near future.

If you’re in an urban area you can also get 2nd hand GX’s, C2’s, C1’s (that still have ACL warranty) for well under 2k - again, all far superior to Hisense and TCL.

    • where to to find A80k for $1,750? Most of the retailers have them at 2,995, same as LG CS…

      • Search this website for those models.

      • If you're OK with box-damaged or factory refurbished you may find 65-inch A80K closer to your budget.

they are not available currently in stores but Aldi's Bauhn TVs are pretty decent.

I've had a Bauhn 65" UHD TV for 3 years and really like it.

no panel bleed. it's responsive. etc etc.

        not at all.

        it is a decent TV.

        I'm extremely satisfied with it.

        • It’s not even in the same ballpark as any of the tv’s listed in this thread.
