Last time someone posted these there was talk of one breaking shortly after and getting little to no support if I remember correctly

Yep that was me… still broken!

      • What broke if I may ask?

        • Drive shaft broke first - I managed to modify it a bit to keep working.

Then now something's gone wrong with the motor. Only works sporadically and even when it does work, the controls work incorrectly.

@atlas: Damn ok, i might hold off this one.

Yeah I had a similar experience with a boat from Banggood a couple of years ago. Their customer service is possibly the worst I have dealt with. They should be on the ozb blacklist

Worth a neg based on your feedback

  • I have two of these. I think they are great, mind you have only taken it out a couple of times. You do need a large amount of vaseline to prevent water going through the hull cover

A bit of Vaseline on the shaft doesn't hurt either

Bought one of these and very impressed!

Thinking about picking up another one for my friend.

Any deals on faster/higher end boats or fast brushless RC bashers & buggys?
    Cheers

Just a note when these are capsized. The top cover can fill with water making it almost impossible to self right because of the water weight.
Otherwise the internals, inside the hull stayed dry for me even when the aesthetic cover filled with water.

Hasn't happened again once I sealed the top cover. But if you capsize it once, bring it back in and empty the first cover so it can self right

    • that happened to me as well, thing went upside down and wouldnt right it self. had to run off and get the kayak out. how'd you seal it off?

      • Thin adhesive weather striping.
Prep the surface as best you can buy the stuff is pretty cheap so just replace if it comes off.

I've thought about making a seal from black vehicle type Sikaflex too but haven't tried yet.

Also thought about filling the cavity with foam but I'm worried it might make it too buoyant and lift the prop out of the water too far to self right

I have seen some videos where they cover the hull with glad wrap then on the main vessel put down some silicon. The glad wrap stops it from sticking…apparently

  • Don't understand why I'm getting $50 express shipping as my only option?
