Got $600, which TV I should buy - I know its low, but I would like to buy 40+inch

I want to buy a tv 40+ inch.. I knw I am on tiny budget when it comes to buy 40+ inch TV. which one you reckon,, dick smith brand or any other good one? thanks in advace

  with a limited budget, you couldn't go past a Kogan (rebranded Samsung):

  you could get a store branded model for aroudnthe same price from Dick/Kmart/BigW/etc. but the quality won't match the Kogan.

    @kryzstoff I've never seen a Kogan TV, but is the quality really comparable to a Samsung??

      Highly doubt it.
      While yes Kogan TV's may use Samsung parts (namely the lcd panel itself), everything else is not Samsung. So it's not really a rebranded Samsung. There are only a handful of LCD panel makers in the world with Samsung being the largest. There are various levels of quality in terms of LCD and the processor behind it makes a big impact as well. Just because it's using Samsung made parts doesn't mean it's as good as a Samsung.

      That being said if you don't intend on hooking up a computer to the TV, the Kogan TV's get a good rap every now and then, especially for the price.

  I think I will go for this sony one.. not sure about kogan much…
