Samsung 8kg Heat Pump Dryer DV80TA020DE - I can't find any info on this model, only links to TGG and the Samsung NZ site. I looked at this one but I'm thinking it's a dryer man, do you need AI control, 4 dryness levels and wifi? Both have 9 star energy ratings and inverters. I don't need a window to watch my shit dry. And my Samsung washing mashine is white.

Bosch 8kg Heat Pump Dryer WTH8300AU - so I have a Series 6 Bosch dishwasher and it's great, this is a series 4 so it's made in China but idc because the Samsung is too most likely, and everything is made in China. You also get more Storecash with Bosch; up to $150 if you spend over $1k, so I can get this series 6 for $1198 and get $150 SC but no 10% off. The Series 4 one is only 7 star energy rating compared to Samsung's 9, but the difference is probably like a few bucks a year.

I dunno guys. A bit of a conundrum.

Or I can just keep using my shitty old dryer and drop a grand at the SUBTYPE sale

  • Hi OP, have you seen any heat pump dryer under $700? thanks

  • Bosch one is a good buy.

  • CS Shapback is exipred? If yes, please update

  • So the Bosch one is $1099, with 10% FREEZE goes down to $989, minus $80 SC would be $909? Or have I miscalculated it somewhere?

    • Cashrewards is currently 10% capped at $80. TGG jacked the price overnight, it was 889.20 after FREEZE last night when I posted. Worst part is that if they jacked it a little more to be over $1K, you'd get $150 Storecash.

So if you use Cashrewards and FREEZE at the current price, you pay 989.10, get $80 cashback, and $80 storecash. $829.10

I think it's BS, they also jacked the series 6 bosch by $150. Personally, I'd get the Samsung for 799.20, get ~$70 cashback, and $50 storecash. ~$680

  • Good deal for the Samsung. I bought one the day before when Shopback had 5% Cashback with the FREEZE coupon :)
It actually has the AI Dry setting though - I'm using it at the moment. I suspect it's very similar to the next model up but is sold at a cheaper price point because it has the cheaper looking/older design outer shell and a white door (not clear). It does have an internal light though which I thought was pretty cool.

    • Did you mount it to the wall? I heard the heat pump dryers are too heavy and cannot be mounted?

      • +1

No - I renovated my laundry recently as I prefer the side by side look. This dryer weighs 49kg so it's a decent amount heavier than a normal vented dryer. You can buy a special stacking kit though.
