Ubiquiti UniFi USW-24-PoE Gigabit Switch $639 + Shipping @ AusPCMarket

90

Looking for PoE switches in the Unifi family. This is a little overkill for me, but looks to be a pretty decent price for what it is (not cheapest of all time, but can't see any deals for it since 2020).

  • For a second there I was crushed having paid $1.3k for a unifi 24 port, but I see this one is the Gbe not 2.5Gbe version, not a bad deal for this one

If I could have 2.5 gbe for $639 I'd be all over it!!! Yeah, there is a Pro version with 10 Gbps SFP and an enterprise version that has half of the RJ45 ports 2.5 Gbps.

      • USW-Pro-48-POE is almost $2000 and USW-Enterprise-24-PoE is close to $1500 so much different price bracket unfortunately.

        • USW-Pro-24-POE is $1249 at JW Computers. But still a different bracket :P

I decided better to go a little overkill now and not need to upgrade later. I got the enterprise version with half 2.5, waited patiently for an eBay code and ended up being $1120.

It looks like you can get the one you listed for $641 delivered on eBay through Digilifeonline

        • Doesn't look like any of these are available via eBay at this moment.

Was $570 last week with the Ebay 22% off sale, grabbed one myself then

The PoE output is pretty woeful except on the Pro range which only cost a bit more.

    • Yeah I'd love the 16 port but its PoE is very low (~45W) relative to the cost. This one isn't too bad (~94W) if you are just running a few AP and a PoE switch or something, but still not fantastic.

Pro range is almost exactly double the price, which I wouldn't call pretty close!

I'm probably just going to grab the USW-8-Lite-PoE for now. I will be maxing out the ports on day 1 which is never a great plan, but it is so cheap relative to the other Unifi options that I can just upgrade when it becomes an issue (and use a couple of USW-Flex-Mini if I have to for low bandwidth devices).

      • Is the USW-8-Lite-PoE PoE on all ports? I have an 8 port switch but only 4 PoE and used them all up straight away. Need something to power another AP or 2 and 3 cameras.

        • +2

No it only has 4 PoE as well (and not a heap of capacity) but I only have a couple of devices that need it in my network. Although when I went to buy it for myself I remembered an additional couple of devices that mean I definitely need a 16.

  • I've been waiting for availability of 250W version of it for more than a year now since 95W for 24 ports (technically 16) is ridiculous.

    • Do you mean the US-24-250W? I don't think it's officially discontinued but it's an older gen1 device and they might not be producing more of these?

      • yeah so maybe time to look at the other options

  • It's on sale as I believe there is a new model out/soon.

    • Source? Nothing in Early Access and this is already the new generation model.

  • Anyone else having issues checking out?

    Can't buy it.

There were a couple of stores on eBay around the same price - did you check them? It shows in red from the search results the ones that the promo applies to.

@AutomationGuy: Thanks, ended up buying from another option with delivery this week.
            Great deal

    • I ended up buying the USW-LITE-16-POE for $299 on the eBay special.
