Babyzen Yoyo2 Pram Black Frame with 6+ Red Colour $549 Shipped @ Stokke Online

260

Have been after a Babyzen Yoyo2 pram for a while now and haven't quite found the right deal on FB marketplace. Deal looks like it only applies with the red, if you're not fussed with the colour then this is a decent price, given the standard price is $699.

Managed to get my local Baby Kingdom to pricematch - they mentioned Stokke has a whole heap of the red and no one buys them that's why they have lowered the price.

Price Update
As noted in the comments section, price match can be done at Baby Bunting (minus an additional 5% - $521.55). I managed to price match at Baby Bunting Blacktown. They wouldn't hold stock for me so had to head down fairly quickly. The lady on the phone mentioned they only had less than 5 in stock.

decent price for a new yoyo2.

Might be able to get Baby Bunting to price beat by 5% and pay with discounted gift cards - https://www.babybunting.com.au/product/bundle-13010-bundle-1…

Didn't realise Baby Bunting were selling this pram again but thanks for the heads up, I managed to grab it from Baby Bunting Blacktown for $521.55. Could not find a deal though for discounted gift cards but more than happy with that price! I'll update the listing.

      • nice one!

    That's …. very light.

    Nice find OP.
I’m waiting for the sibling board to be discounted!

    • I'm after that too!

    • join the yoyo groups on facebook or keep an eye out on marketplace

  • this or the Bugaboo Butterfly. Flying AirAsia end of year and hoping to carry on.

    • +2

The butterfly is 7.3kg and over most airlines carry on limit. An overzealous check in staff might make you check it in. The YOYO is 6.3kg.

I know you are asking about the size of the prams, but I would like to share my experience with both prams.

I used to have the Yoyo2.
PROS: It is super small, very easy to push, and you can easily carry it around with the shoulder strap.
CONS: It is very difficult to fold, and the peek hole is a bit annoying as it allows sunlight to pass through. The storage basket is super small (for us, this was a deal breaker). I read really bad reviews about the coffee holder (which I did not buy). It does not include a leg rest or rain cover.

      Now we have the Butterfly.
PROS: It has a massive storage basket. It is easy to push but not as easy as the Yoyo. It is super easy to fold and unfold. The hood is much bigger than the Yoyo. It includes a rain cover and a leg rest.
CONS: bigger than the yoyo. does not come with a storage bag. does not have a peak hole. the shoulder strap is very small.

we personally prefer the butterfly, mostly for the storage basket.

in regards to your question. we have not travelled with the butterfly yet. lol. sorry.
yoyo2 is probably the safest option as carry-on.

    • Can share my experience with the yo-yo. I found it extremely easy to fold and unfold once you’re used to it. Can do it in one motion without a hitch and pick it right up to carry onto the plane. Fits in overhead storage very easily. The accessories I’ve used are excellent. The backpack carrier is useful. The roller bag makes up for the lack of storage on the pram itself, and I would say it’s indispensable purchase. For small bubs I’d add the foot rest, mossie net and rain cover.

    • Folded up the yo-yo has a smaller package making it less of a target :D also being their primary pram unlike bagaboo has more accessories like toddler seat (which we wish we had)etc.
That being said we just travelled to Thailand with our baby jogger city tour 2 which is also just below 7 kg but folds bigger. However didn’t have any issues taking it in carry on Singapore airlines.

    • Look at the Miley2. Just used it with jetstar going to Bali. Took it on as carry-on.

  • OP, I think you got lucky with Baby Bunting at Blacktown :) Do they have red colour in stock? Or they give you another colour?

I called a few stores in VIC, none of them would price beat because they don't actually stock Red colour in their system. They explained that the item is not even available for them to price beat. And no they won't price beat and give you a different colour

    • Definitely got lucky because Castle Hill wouldn't even price match it for me (would of argued but only noticed on their website after the call they still stock it). Blacktown had it in red, in any case they would only price match the red one.

  • Went to baby bunting to compare yoyo2 to the similarly priced uppababy minu V2. Ended up with the uppababy with bonus travel bag.

Not sure how often I'd used the "airplane carry on" feature, more likely to just check it in I think. Subjective opinion, but Yoyo2 felt a bit flimsy to meet that weight target.

  • The wheels look super small. Does anyone have this? Seems like it'd be difficult to get over bumps etc..

    • haven't had any issues with our Yoyo,

had a Fauxyo before that which went to a few countries and handled dirt/bumpy tracks just fine.

    • I was in Japan with the yoyo2 and I did not have any issues.

    • Not meant for off footpath/concrete. Extremely easy to push on hard surfaces.

    • Just used our Yoyo in Vietnam, which has pretty terrible footpaths (that are often blocked anyway!). It was certainly not ideal usage, but the Yoyo handled it pretty fine, considering.

    • The wheels do get stuck in little gaps, but that’s the compromise of being able to fold it up and put in plane etc.

Not the greatest stroller in the world but I’d buy again if I had to.

  • Child 1: super schmick pram with removable baby carrier
Child 2: Phil & Ted's double jogger pram
Child 3: used Maclaren, which lasted into
    Child 4

Baby movement devices with wheels - the smaller and lighter the better. YMMV :)

We’ve taken our Yoyo2 through Africa, Middle East and Europe, and it hasn’t skipped a beat. I’d highly recommend it for travel. You get used to its little frustrations like the smaller storage basket and folding it up. It’s an excellent stroller!

Also, Baby Bunting sell the YoYo as a frame and cover in two separate items on the one receipt. They’ll discount each item proportionally to the total cost at Stokke. You can then return the red cover and purchase any other colour of your choosing (finding a price match of course). This is what I did. YMMV.

Here's also the YOYO2 accessories on sale at the Qantas as well https://marketplace.qantas.com/au/search/yoyo2?&terms=yoyo2
20%-25% off. very convenient if you have points.
I bought a leg rest and a rain cover. Just be careful the rain cover photo for the 6+ seat option may be wrong.

  • Great find, I think it's sold out now..
