batrarobin on 22/08/2012 - 12:59 ¶I have all the apps that I would need from a daily-use tablet. I mostly use facebook, browser, video chat…. I sometimes use its HDMI to connect to my TV and play videos. very handy when you are travelling.
I must admit it currenly has minimal app support from developers, but trend seems to be changing with more and more apps being released….all said, its a great piece of hardware that could have more app support.
+2 votesI'll add my voice to those that's happy with the Playbook. As outlined by batarobin, for all the basic functions it performs smoothly. Web browsing is good, I'm able to stream video from my NAS when at home, video chat works well too.
If you have a Blackberry phone as well the ability to use the Blackbery Bridge functionality is a nice bonus too. It works well for BBM and the web browsing speed whilst not being the speediest is acceptable (especially given there's no extra cost with it utilising the BIS link). I know it's a rapidly shrinking group of people that might benefit, but it's handy for me, especially when popping over to Indonesia.

Hey Stix,
I'm using a Nokia E52 at the moment. The case of it is pretty much dead and gone.
I'm just looking for anything that'll hold a charge. Had good results with Nokias and Blackberries in the past, so I'd be happier to stick with them. However, I'm open to any suggestion!
I've had Blackberrys before for work and they have great battery life. I'm now onto an iPhone and would never go back to a Blackberry obviously. If you're after a very basic smartphone, the Pearl should be fine. I'm no phone expert so take this advice with a grain of salt…from a shotgun! :) http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/77952
