  • Is this a good mid-range buy? What are some other competitors to consider?

    • +5

      Mid-range??

      • Anything in 500-800 range is still considered mid-range?

        • +1

this phone is more of a flagship type device

        • +1

It is a flagship level phone at a midrange price.

  • Vodafone unlocked

  • what does vodafone unlocked actually mean? is this similar to the carrier version at jbhifi?

    • +1

it should be similar, possibly the same carrier's version, JB just don't specify.

      • ah thank you

        • +1

sometimes people tend to find these have a chance of being single sim such as the find x5 lite deal that was very popular but other than that, there doesn't seem to be any other major differences from what they say. However, the product description says dual sim for this one so no reason for that.

A word of warning this is the regular 8 Gen 1 which came with a host of issues compared to the updated 8+ Gen 1

    • Would I better off getting a phone with the 888 like the Moto edge 30 fusion?

      • Personally I think the Neo is the best value option with wireless charging. Depends if you want more CPU grunt though 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • Hey dsiritz, how do you tell the difference between 8 gen 1 & 8+ gen 1?

      • The name

        • You mean the snapdragon is 8 gen 1 chipset. Got it, that wasn't clear by your comment.
