1000 bricks in 10 colours. They are cubic and made of plastic. Clearance item but plenty of stock from what I could see.

  A few kgs of lego second hand is roughly this price. I wonder how this stacks up weight wise - although this would have more variety

    Go for the kgs if you can find them, as they're usually be made up of sets, which would contain a lot more variety of pieces than any Classic boxes, which are largely just plain, ordinary bricks.

    I guess, if you are building big structures which require bricks (instead of plates and other specialised pieces) then this is a good option.
