  • This is what phones were like before the iPhone. The fastest disruption I have ever seen, two years and it was all over.

        That didn’t take two years.🫣

  • Bought one recently to replace my old Nokia. Not impressed. 1. The battery life was noted as 'up to 180 hours standby. To be fair, 'up to' does mean it starts at zero, so 55 hours on standby before needing charging is correct I suppose. 2. It has one button lock and unlock, so it can be accidentally unlocked in your pocket. 3. Did I mention the only manual is online? The manual that comes up has a very similar looking phone but features etc are not the same - it shows icons for 2G and 3G and shows it using a full size SIM, maybe needs updating. 4. If it has a loudspeaker it is very well hidden; I couldn't find it, neither could the staff at the Telstra Shop. 5. When texting, you have to find the screen that lets you choose letters or numbers, otherwise all you get is the first letter on the key. 6. Contact List! You can only have one number per name, so if your friends have more than one contact number you will need multiple entires. Therefore your list will be two to three times longer than otherwise.

Still it was cheap - and you get what you pay for. I just paid $10 for a new battery for my Nokia and packed the Lite 3 away. Maybe I can sell it to some other poor unsuspecting person. Definitely wouldn't pass it on to a friend.
