20% off Curry Kits + $8.90 Delivery ($0 with $60 Order) @ Curry Traders

For those of you who want something a bit nicer/healthier than the bog-standard curry-in-a-jar from colesworth and don't mind a bit of cooking but like me are still to lazy to scrape together all the individual ingredients yourself then try these guys. I prefer the gourmet kits myself but they do have 'express' kits also. Many different flavours.

Sale ends midnight tomorrow, I would have posted the deal sooner but it went to my spam folder…..anyway hope someone gets some enjoyment from it.

We've been buying off these guys for years and they are a local company.

  • Giggle giggle…I like how you described "bog standard curry". Maybe this should become a thing…

For the record, I'm of Indian origin (insert defensive "I'm not racist but…")

    Nice deal OP!

    • Cheers. Might be a good name for a new brand. :) (bags copyright)

  • Thanks. I will be trying these out. Looks great.

  • Great curry bases. Many of them are also low FODMAP.

  • That’s some packaging right there. The environment thanks you.

  • Thanks so much for posting this! Few questions if you don't mind:

    • how do these compare to the spice tailor kits? They usually have some dry spices, a base sauce and a curry/simmer sauce in each kit. Do these also have the same?
    • how many servings per kit?
    • the individual kits seem about $~12. Spice tailor, pataks, etc are around $3-4 on special. How much do these work out to?

Way better flavour profile, but you pay for it. I'd recommend.

Significantly better quality than spice tailor. The recipe on packets also call for meat than spice tailor (so more servings per packet).

If you are after a lower cost option, they also sell 'express kits' which are ~$7.

We usually get about 6 servings per dish using about 1.2 kg of meat, so if you used 1.5 you might get a bit more. So two meals for 3 people, plus rice. :)

  • Thanks everyone for your responses. Also found this video from the owner: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3lXiRZasiU in case anyone's interested.

  • I have not tried them, but I eat a lot of dahl/curry with rice, I use sunrice medium grain always and I just go to the indian section and use AYAM stuff, Soups, Curry, Dahl and pour it over the rice, really easy and always different.
