Hi all, I'm currently paying for YouTube premium via Argentina and want to upgrade it to family.
Has anyone done something similar? I'd like to know if I need to use a VPN and if there are anything I should / shouldn't do.

It looks like the party to do this is over. I can’t successfully sign up or renew anymore as of today. I get “ Transaction declined. This purchase requires a payment method from your billing country. [OR_RECR_05]”

I had the same problem when trying to renew my Family monthly membership using PC & VPN. I got the same error.
But it worked for me last night when I renewed using my phone.
My Turkish account is saved into my phone with the payment method & Turkish address.Give it a try & renew the membership via your phone.
I ended up just getting my brother to add me on a family plan he’s paying for lol so I’m saving the $3 per month now and it’s legit Australia. It’s only a couple of dollars more for 6 instead of 1 account.
im trying to upgrade from single to family but I can't find the option to on the memberships page
any idea how he did it?
