On sale is this more advanced USB tester that's useful for checking the power consumption, current, voltage, resistance, temperature etc. of a device via USB-A, micro-USB and USB-C. A useful way of seeing if your power bank or Heymix/Zyron charger or any other device is performing the way it promises. Or perhaps you can use it to see if that cheap Amazon/AliExpress USB-C cable has the 'e-mark' chip and can really perform 100W fast charging.

It's able to recognise heaps of fast charging protocols including Power Delivery, Qualcomm Quick Charge, Huawei Fast Charge, Huawei Super Fast Charge, Samsung Fast Charge, VOOC, Super VOOC and more. There's a 1.77" TFT LCD display that'll show all the information with buttons to navigate through the menus.

Alternatively for US$36.80 (~A$55.81) you can get the version with Bluetooth for control/monitoring via Android and PC.

As an ozb addict you are required to purchase at least 2!

  • Use one of these at work, they're awesome!

  • How are you getting $55.81 for the Bluetooth version?

According to the Mastercard exchange rate US$36.80 is A$55.81. A currency conversion free card added to PayPal and billed in USD will get you this price, or very very close.

You had some discount coupons for multi-NIC small form factor PCs awhile back - any chance of another one?

  • Any chance on a deal for the fnb58 with Bluetooth?

    • Apparently there's a flash deal on both with and without bluetooth for the next 11 hours?

What's thw difference on the 48 and 58 though? Seems to be slightly bigger screen?

      • +1

Higher currents and software seems much better on FNB58

        • Ahhh, thank you!

Googled the 48 and read a few people frying some devices because of the PD switch.. 🤣

  • Thanks, got one.

  • Aaaaaa I literally just ordered the CT-3 yesterday!

  • Pity these devices don't have a timer function i.e. whereby when load starts to drop that it turns off. I generally only charge LIPO to 80% and with many devices slow down to a slower charge after that point (not all). Currently just use a Smart plug with energy monitor and home assistant to monitor and turn off.

    • generally only charge LIPO to 80%

      Why?

      • +1

Less strain on battery when topping up. Charge slows down once it reaches 80% and the closer it gets to 100% more trickle charges. Same reason I try keep my battery above 30%. That's just me though.

  • Just ordered myself one up. Always buying and getting cheap cables. Now can check my chargers and cables to make sure they are what that day that are and get a refund if they're not as advertised.
