One day deal from B&H Photo Video — Adobe Creative Suite 6 Premium Student & Teacher Edition — USD$249 + USD$32.86 postage = ~AUD$272 delivered. That's a good $50 saved from the cheapest Australian seller that I can find.

Same price for Mac or for Windows. Offer ends 28 Aug NYC time so only a few hours left I think.

NOTE: This is Student & Teacher Edition. Please see Eligibility guide @ Adobe.com/au/. Basically to qualify, you need to be (or have someone at home who is):

A student (primary, secondary, university, college, etc). Proof: school ID card, or report card, etc.
A teacher (primary, secondary, university, college, board of education, etc). ID or paycheque as proof.

Student editions need to be unlocked / registered via some additional mechanism right? ie. People need to be cautious as they can just buy this but not be able to actually install and register it without being or knowing a student.

I'd grab it for personal home use. But am not a student nor know any.

  From my experience of buying every Adobe CS version since it was released.
  
  You can install this software just the same as the 30-day trial you download from their website. You get to use all the functions of the software, but if you do not enter a serial number within 30 days, the software prevents you from using it any longer.
  
  ALL STUDENT & TEACHER EDITIONS NEED TO EMAIL / FAX / POST PROOF OF ENROLMENT/EMPLOYMENT TO ADOBE.
  
  Once they agree you are eligible, they will email your serial number. If they actually check your enrolment / employment with the educational institute, I am unsure.

You are reminded that software selling in US can only be used legally in US/Canada in most circumstances. I would strongly believe that retrieving an activation key via Adobe is possible only if you have a valid student id issued by a college/university in US.
