Have been using these for about half a year and can vouch for these. Looks clean, sounds great too.

Can also vouch for these. Youre not going to get some ridiculous hifi experience but for a pc they have been great. Definitely punch about their weight.

  • These or the R1280DBs? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/786532

Audio noob here! Wouldn’t know the difference other than the colour (white looks slick!)

I was considering those too, but decided on MR4 based on looks and I tend to prefer a more neutral sound. Note you can connect a sub up to the R1280DBs, but you can't on the MR4

Got these last time, absolutely great speakers for the price point.

I had these, after 11 months a crackle popping sound started in one of the speakers…
Got in contact with Amazon yesterday & they're waiting to be picked up for a return… I then proceeded to purchase these again yesterday for $159.99
They have already been dispatched… damn it… could have saved a few $$$

Order at new price, return old ones at old price. The OzBargain way…

Yeah I picked some of these up to be my computer speakers a few months back and they have been excellent. Only issue I have had though is there is some electrical feedback coming through the speakers, like a consistent tapping rhythm that stops and starts - sounds like Morse code.

It was worse to begin with and then I moved some things around on the desk and it became more feint. I’m thinking that maybe amongst the pile of wires there is something higher voltage creating some interference? Does this sound right?

    • +1

Likely not an issue with the speakers but interference like you mentioned. Do you place your mobile phone near the speakers for example?

      • +1

Actually, yeah it sort if sounds like that noise when a call would come in and your speakers would pick it up. I'll test that it isn't that and otherwise just try and isolate the cabling

  • Are these good for a home DJ setup? Where I would be playing for 4-5 people max? (if not practicing at home?)

  • I ended up getting the R1700BT @ around $120 as part of prime day deal.
