How does the real deal compare to Armaf's clone product CDN? At $59 (often on sale for $40 l) for 100ml it is pretty good.

I haven’t tried CDN personally, a lot of people say after the opening of CDN (which is apparently quite abrasive) it settles down into something ~80% of the way to Aventus. Definitely a decent value for money option.

CDN is 80 there unless you know Creed Aventus very well you wont notice a difference performance is also excellent on the clone.
Only ever bought tester sizes of Aventus so might need someone who has gone through multiple bottles to make further comments.
I have both and will wear the cdn as a daily and the authentic one only for very special occasions, eg last one was a friends wedding.

@josepet: Yep, can confirm. A mate left some in a bottle of water over time and made me smell it, it was putrid to say the least. Great way to clear out a room.

FYI I would go in to a place where you can actually smell it before dropping this sort of coin on it. I personally wasn't impressed with it, no where near as much as I was with the Amouage stuff.
Amouage smells way too spice market for my liking.
Nothing smells as good as Gris Dior IMO (and I’ve owned a lot of perfumes).
If you don't want to drop alot of coin on this, Armaf Club De Nuit Intense Man is a harsher "clone" of this, can be purchased for about $60 at CW (used to be as low as $40). All subjective, though.
