  • That’s a really great price for a good grinder. Nice find OP

  • Keep in mind both machines are mainly for espresso, the adjustments are done at the bottom of the machine and will not allow you to go coarse enough for filter from what I believe.

    • +1

Yeah these were supposed to be an espresso only grinder anyway from what I’ve read

      • Still camping out for a price drop on the DF83…. soon it will come…

    • This or 33 kmart ones?

Yeah it's pretty crazy to me if you're buying this and you don't own a cafe…you'd have to be very lazy to buy it for the home/casual use.

      • +1

This won’t handle cafe use. Theres a difference between a grinder that can handle quantity vs one that just grinds consistently.

This is certainly a very niche product

So it's way too expensive for casual use, and not good enough for professional use lol.

This is one of those "a fool and their money is soon parted" type scenarios.

      • Not even the same thing.
Similar to coffee machines - even a $2,600 Bezzera BZ10 coffee machine wouldn't be suitable for pumping out coffees all day in a cafe.

      • +1

Why would buying one of these make someone lazy? A kmart grinder isn’t comparable with output quality.

    • +4

      Just…no.

    • Trolling lol

      • Legit wasn't. I don't get the point of a coffee grinder for home that costs over a grand. It's ridiculous.

        • It's all relative.
How much would you spend on a watch, car , house.. agree to come extent and I haven't upgraded my sunbeam em0480. I wouldn't spend a Kilo if mu machine was $500.

    • If you use Internation roast and you can save $18.

  • +2

They are cheaper now with the release of the DF64v which is the one to get apparently Issues with DF64

Funny spending $600 and still isn't right.

  • +1

Brrrrr. Think I'll have my coffee with beans whole thanks lol

    • Deconstructed!

      • Yeh bud. It's all in the state of mind.

  • Does this grind by time or weight?

Also further discount to the price I think. It’s showing $365 right now

    • if it doesn't grind by weight , and just time like my breville does, then I will just keep using the breville.

    • +1

$45 shipping is added at checkout. Grinds by time.

      • Ah thanks legend! Yeah I wrote the comment and left to do other things and it did occur to me that would be shipping lol.

Grinding by time is a bummer. Creates so much more work.

  • Is this an upgrade over 1zpresso jx pro for espresso only? I'm happy with my grinder just looking to upgrade to electric at some point because I'm lazy lol.

And what's the difference between the models. Thanks.

Edit: Even 1z reccomend to use an electric drill with their grinders, maybe I'll try that lol

    • There is no difference between the two models other than the E having a touch control digital timer and an additional larger hopper attachment alongside the single dose attachment (the P is single dose only but the E can do both)

      • Thanks. From what I'm reading it's similar grind quality to jx pro, and better if using the SSP upgrade. I might just hold out until I save some cash. My coffee is awesome I'm just lazy.

  • For such an anal perfectionistic art, I can't believe people would actually buy this and not the improved model which has fixed all the short comings. One person says it's a bargain but it's the normal price for the old model.
