  • Is there a way to post an image/thumbnail WITH a link to the website, or are we suppose to leave that to the admins?

  • You could try loading an image/file via http://upload.ozbargain.com/, not sure about linking that said file to another site. Never used the feature myself.

    • Yeah seems strange you can do one but not the other.

      • What image are you thinking of uploading? Site screenshot not enough?

        • I was just asking in general (for when I submit other deals). I always post a link to a website and doesn't give me option to upload the thumbnail.

Do we just post a link to the website and then you (admins) upload the site screenshot? Just wanted to clear up how it all works.

          • @zhenjie: You just need to post the URL if the promotion is available on the merchant's website. Upload a file if it is not (for example, scanned/photographed vouchers). I have set up some tools to "try" to create a thumbnail image from the URL submitted (checking every 5 minutes, unless my home server died). If it's one of the pre-configured merchants, then it will try to grab the product image (if it's on a product page). Otherwise it will just use Firefox to take a screenshot.

            Hopefully that's clear.

Good thing about posting merchant's URL is that it actually files the deal against that merchant.

  • Just thought I would mention its actually spend $125

you need to spend $100 firstly - then you get a voucher for $25 which you can use for the next purchase (as long as its over $50).

With the postage they charge the value from this deal is very easily eroded

  • Wishlist is mighty expensive for what they offer.

I had a voucher to use up (only reason I shopped there), but I definitely wouldn't think that charging $10 for postage of a single envelope (Colorado gift voucher) isn't anything but pure profiteering.

Still, if you're set on buying from the site several times, then might make it worthwhile I suppose.
