  • What’s the warranty on these ?

    • 1 year according to the website.

      • +2

ACL would see at least 5 years I reckon on one of these if seller is local…. Which appears to claim

“ The Formovie Theater is backed by a 3-year warranty period.
For Formovie Theater purchases, please send the product to our Australian repair center.
For Formovie T1 purchases, please note that repairs need to be made in China.”

Errrr… no thanks on the T1

  • What is the DMD model? 0.47?
What are the differences between CN and Global version?

    • What does DMD model mean?

      • 0.47 supports native 1080p.
And it can shake to get faked 4k.

        0.33 cannot get 4k.

0.66 never seen in this price range

    • That YT comparison vid is pretty useless really

  • bruh them colours are 3 years old what's goin' on

  • I am seeing $3,529.41 delivered?

  • This projector is very well reviewed and has a lot going for it. Dolby Vision support in particular is unheard of at this price range.

    • Here's one such review: https://www.projectorcentral.com/Formovie-Theater-UST-Laser-…

The clown who wrote it uses Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which has one of the worst Teal & Orange colour gradings ever in a movie, to judge how natural skin tones look. If you don't understand why this is as moronic a thing you could possibly do, you could make some money writing TV/projector reviews.

    • Yes it has been seen before. Hisense PL1 has it for almost half of the price of this one.

This projector is one of the best if not the best in terms of image quality to price in the Ultra short throw projector space. It comes with low quality checks and if you land up with a lemon good luck trying to resolve it. Also like every other UST it needs an ALR screen unless you have a completely dark room. An ALR screen if you want a 120 inch screen is between 1500 to 2000 delivered from Aliexpress. If you do not have a bat cave and like the big screen experience then this is a good choice if you can live with the negatives. This is the Chinese version, has a chinese UI software which can be changed, the global version called theatre has an English language interface and a few more improvements. No projector can ever beat the quality of an OLED but no OLED at 120 inch is going to cost sub 5k anytime soon. The bottom line is If you have the space, a dark room and enjoy a cinematic experience..stick with bulb based long throw projectors..cheaper, excellent 4k picture, can replace with tellys once they reach the 120 inch size. If you do not have the space and a light controlled room and are happy to buy an ALR buy this or the theatre and if you are expecting picture quality like a telly..stick with a telly ..not going to happen. No need to go to aliexpress for UST screens there are Aussie suppliers at a good price i.e. https://darkenergyscreens.com.au

      • The Aussie supplier is just reselling the same screens mate .. it is neither cheaper nor better. XY screens has been the leader in cheap ALR for about 4 years now ..around the same time UST has been popular

        • +1

Not sure where you saw the comment say cheaper or better. Was just saying it was local which some people find benefits in, such as better service, faster availability, less potential hassles/expense if something goes wrong, claimable warranty. Etc.

  • Whats the throw distance on these?

    • Throw ratio 0.233, you can consult our friendly staff for the distance
