          Best iWatch ever.

      • I'm waiting for a design refresh before I upgrade my S4. Hoping this year will be it.

        • +1

I want an upgrade from my S4

    • Wait for series 9, then get the 8th for a discount.

    • I'm thinking of getting the gold stainless steel 9, the stainless steel finish looks pretty good. Then again it is a bit of a premium to pay just for a slightly different looking metal. Does stainless steel hold good resale value?

      • The amount of apple watches on the market means that people don't even bother selling it used. It's not a highly sought after item. It's also a pain in the butt to replace the battery.

        • +2

I guess I could keep it as a spare if I upgrade in the future, use it for swimming or if I go adventuring or rock climbing or something else that I will never ever do.

          • @AustriaBargain: I've had a couple of different SS models and they don't sell for much higher second hand or via trade in than the aluminium version. But they are very nice, especially when paired with the matching Milanese band

  • Any deals on the regular Series 8 45 mm?

      none because it is popular

  • Found this interesting quote in an article (mac rumours)-

The S8 chip in the Apple Watch Series 8 is the same as the S7 chip in the Apple Watch Series 7, which offered the same performance as the S6 in the Apple Watch Series 6, but with the S9, Apple is introducing new chip technology.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the Apple Watch Series 9 will feature an S9 chip that's built on the same technology as the A15 chip. The updated chip could bring speed and efficiency improvements, improving battery life and load times.

    • I’m on a series 6 and I always found the processor very slow. We are so used to iPhone speeds that the watch feels frustratingly slow especially given it’s something we want to quickly do something with.

      • agreed, I never know whether it's the fault of the watch or just that we're so used to the snappiness of the phones.

Searching/loading music on mobile data can be a extraordinarily frustrating at times.

  • Still waiting for my ultimate iPhone 👀

if/when they improve the battery life… daily charing my s6, s5,s4..s1 has been a drain…

    • Eh, to be fair it's far better than any android watch.

      • I wouldn't mind trying the Apple ecosystem again but I have to say my old Active Watch 2 lasted 3 and a half days and thought that was short.

        • Current models built on WearOS are much worse. Suppose how much battery can you realistically fit on your wrist.
