Cheapest Event Cinemas Tickets?

PSA: Within the last week, RACQ has increased the price of their vouchers from $11.50 to $12.50 for off peak times and $12.50 to $13.50 for peak times (after 5pm on Thursday or Friday).

This change makes Telstra Plus the best valued option for peak times as there is no online booking fee associated with these tickets. Cinebuzz Half Price Tuesdays @ $10.50 (plus $1.65 if purchasing online) is the best option for Tuesdays.

Are there any other cheapest options especially for sessions during off peak times (sessions not after 5pm on Thursday, Friday or Saturday)?

I noticed this, NeatIdeas (Westpac, Student Edge ect) also put up prices which would suggest the wholesale cost has increased.

Shopback currently have Adult Evouchers (not valid fri/sat after 5pm) for $11.95, also 10% cashback if buying with a friend. Valid til 31 Oct

Telstra Plus (and Cinebuzz Tuesdays) is definitely the best offer at present, stack with discounted Event Gift Cards for further discount.

    • Cheers. Shopback is extra steps but a good option if your friend is happy to use Shopback.

    • $11.95 is child?

      • Currently on ShopBack for Event there is also an $11.95 adult ticket.

      • Previous comment directly linked to it, but has been removed for being a referral when it wasn’t.

There is a $11.95 adult ticket available on shopback (as well as a child ticket with longer expiry)

Thanks for the reminder on the Telstra tickets. COVID managed to make me forget about going to the movies and the fact I'd use that

  • $13.50 if you have the NRMA Membership (free)

Some of my friends saw Barbie… their description of the movie has destroyed any desire to watch that piece of propaganda

  • Don't forget to notice the green emergency exit light shining brightly on the screen in dark scenes every time you go see a movie at a cinema.

  • I just checked Entertainment and wth the normal evoucher is $18.5 and esaver is $15.5. Has it always been expensive there?

    • Nope, they’ve always been a little higher than NRMA/RACQ but they have increased too.

Telstra Plus with discounted GC. Rewards Gateway used to have 15% off on Event Cinemas GC but recently dropped to 10%. Still cheaper than others. Stacked up some when they had 20% off in end of June.

  • Not an improvement, but Bupa liferewards: $13.50 adult restricted (not after 5pm Saturdays), or $16.50 adult unrestricted. Applies for event cinemas and selected village cinemas
